Far out! We get more tax revenue, more jobs for Leominster. Once again proof that Leominster has it's act together due to the Mayor.

Great way to get infrastructure for your housing project in Sterling at TAXPAYER'S EXPENSE. The more Supporter of Dino blogs- the less I respect the job this MAYOR is doing!!!!

Not to worry Whitney is making his share of the money. Here goes an increase in traffic on Central Street.

Ironic enough that you coment on a story illustrating why access roads are important.

Leominster has its act together in large part to Route 2. At last check, Dino didn't build it.

Of course Jim Whitney is going to make some money - that is his business and his job. He would be crazy to 'donate' his time...and how do you nay-sayers think the rest of the developments in town got there? Taxpayer dollars build Orchard Hill park, the money didn't come out of the developer's pocket....the city reaps the benefit in increased revenue. I applaud Mayor Mazzarrella for leading the city forward through tough economic times. I can still proudly say that I am a Leominster tax-payer, Leominster born and raised. I'm not crazy about paying for these things either, but it is all part of the big picture.

It's no wonder our state and country is broke, more stimulus money for private businesses at taxpayers expense. Where's the bail out for the taxpayers.

Well, it's not as bad as the $9 MILLION Deval is spending down in Foxboro to build a footbridge to Gillette Stadium, in return for the Kraft Family's political support. And funding for Veterans, the homeless, attorney general's offices, has been cut...

For the record, Greg Lisciotti also got a million or more in state funds to help develop Orchard Hill Park some more. So, it's not just Mr. Whitney....

Great... we're giving this so called businessman our dollars for his profit, yet he has proven time and time again that he will stiff his suppliers and subcontractors on what he owes them. There should be a background check done on his previous dealings to determine if he is ethical enough to receive these funds. Just my opinion.

You don't know what you are talking about. Everything Jim does is done right. The grant money is going to the City of Leominster to build the road not to Jim. If you are going to make a comment know what you are talking about.

Yea, if you are going to make a comment know what you are talking about! Don't you know we need more roads, business parks and stores. You know we don't have enough as it is. It only takes an hour to get from one side of town to the other. With all Jim wants to do, it will now take two hours or more! That's what I'm looking forward to.

This statement is so untrue..hence an 'opinion'. I can name many other contractors that have 'ethic' issues and need background checks. Good Job Mr. Whitney!
