Nuisance laws. Check with your city.

Or you can call Marky Mark here and he will tell you the wrong way to get it solved.

You are all idiots. I realize that there are great problems in this world, in our country and in OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. But when I can't sleep in the privacy of my own home, because of LAWBREAKERS, when my kids can't sleep, IN THE PRIVACY OF MY OWN HOME BECAUSE OF LAWBREAKERS, when I can't invite my in laws or parents over and have a nice dinner because we are constantly disturbed by LAWBREAKERS, I got a real problem with that. You're all assinine because you have no clue what goes on in my neighborhood, on a daily and nightly basis. This crap goes on, day after day, night after night, every single day and night, for YEARS now, without ever getting a night or day off! You are all idiots so my advice to you? Shut the hell up. I'm trying to keep my neighborhood from looking like and sounding like a damn ghetto. I pay high taxes in Roseville and my elected leaders want little to do to help citizens in my city about this ever growing epidemic. So again, shut the hell up, would ya? These idiots are breaking the law, what is it you're not understanding? They do it every day and every night. I logged 44 instances today and I shouldn't have to put up with LISTENING AND FEELING this crap on an every day basis. How about I come over to your house and blare my stereo and vibrate your windows and walls, all day, every day and all night? You stupid frickin' idiots. Don't you dare criticize me or the problems that are going on around my neighborhood. Just do us all a favor...when problems exist and persist, do what you do best, bend over and take it right up your ass, because I don't go for that.
I don't live near Mark, but I have the same problem in my neighborhood. My two year old is constantly woken by drive-by boom cars. The poor kid has dark circles under his eyes, but, hey, as long as the music is loud for the jerks in the cars, life is good, right? This is merely a symptom of society today. There is really no care given to anyone other than ourselves.

With the right headphones, one could produce even higher deafening decibels into the head of the player and nobody else would be bothered. But that's the point. They want to bother as many people as possible and mark their territory like a dog. They want everybody's eyes on them. Most people don't know who they are or care. The noise gives them attention. If you keep challenging people, eventually a bigger dog comes along and pees on you.

I appreciate your courtesy Mike, there should be more like you. BUT, there are noise ordinance laws that are not being enforced. It doesn't matter the time of day or night. The law states that nothing shall be heard from more than 50 feet away or it is a violation and ticket. If I have my windows and doors closed, and if I want to sleep, in the privacy of my own home, no matter WHAT TIME of day or night it is, I shouldn't be subjected to such arrogant, ignorant behavior. I don't want to hear it. It's plain and simple. I don't tread on or disturb anyone else and I demand that same respect. My mom used to yell at me all the time about turning down my stereo. But let me tell you, I could have my car stereo up as loud as it will go, and it's a pretty good stereo system, but I would not be able to hear it in the privacy of my own home from my street. That is because of the kicker bass sound systems. You really don't hear any music per se, it's the damn bass. It's the thumping, pulsating, booming vibrations and what the perpetraitors don't understand, or don't care about is that this type of low frequency sound travels not only through the air, but through the ground and up in to the quiet silence of someone's home. This isn't right. It's against the law. I shouldn't be FORCED to listen to this or feel it. My cabinets, walls, windows and floorboards shouldn't shake rattle and vibrate! I've argued this for almost three years now because the problem is only getting worse, in Roseville and throughout metro Detroit. I pay high taxes in Roseville and it SOUNDS like I live in the ghetto. I don't live in Detroit. I have rights to a quiet and peaceful existence. True, there are nuisance noises like motorcycles that are being targeted as well...and there are trains and trucks and lawnmowers and other things that are NEEDED in life, there's not much we can do about that. But to be FORCED to listen to, and feel these stereos, day in and day out, all day and all night, is absurd and against the law. There are days when I hear 40 to 50 instances a day! I don't want to hear it and I shouldn't have to put ear plugs in my ears in the privacy of my own home. I'm not some old dude that just sits around and bitches at things just for the sake of bitching. I LOVE music, and I love it loud! But there is a time and a place, and for these idiots to be running up and down our taxpayer funded streets, disrupting everyone in their paths with no regard to our quality of life, it isn't right. It's NOT the place. Why don't these idiots wear headphones in the cars if they wanna thump and hear it loud? Why should WE have to suffer? I should back my truck up under these idiots' bedroom windows at 4 a.m. and rev my truck up and see how THEY like it! I will die fighting this, let me tell you. We are working with lawmakers to make the fines higher and the penalties tougher, including CONFISCATION of stereo equipment. The time has come for action and to those inconsiderate idiots who wanna keep thumpin'....go right ahead because sooner or later, "your time is gonna come".(great Zeppelin song by the way! lol)

Well how the hell do you know that those people don't? The answer is you DON'T know. Is that to mean that someone shouldn't also concern themselves with the noise level, in addition to the "real important" stuff? One's basic expectations for the comforts of daily living isn't at all important? The argument on the side of offenders is truly LAME (like the acronym, btw, fits perfectly.) Just that, to discuss those other issues here would be off-topic on this thread, wouldn't it?
Maybe Mr. Roberts was at one point willing and able to speak in more "rational" terms on this subject, being able to ignore it to a degree. How long would it take YOU, in acting calmly, for instance if someone in a bar (especially, we know what can happen there!) or some other public place repeatedly bumps you or invades your personal space, even accidentally, before you progress from a simple shrugging off, to having to possibly threaten someone with physical violence if they don't stop? That's a public place, imagine how it is now when it's applied to your private living space--your home, and personal space being violated not just by the UNNECASSARY noise but also the physical thumping vibration of those car speakers, not just once or a couple times a day or week, but DOZENS of times a day, at any and all hours of every day. Damn if you can concentrate fully on anything for ONE full day, with the repeated UNNECASSARY noise level. Tell me how much you'd enjoy me parked in front of your house at 5am or noon, with some Death Metal blaring out my car (while i parked it, locked it, and left it of course, or just put in some ear-plugs,) while your ho's infant were trying to sleep or take a nap, and there's nothing you can do about it, right?'cause i'm on a public street. My home and these public streets are NOT your 24/7 roaming custom car show. Place and time for everything. Until you start acting like responsible adults, you're going to continue to be looked down at and dissed, just the way things go. You (feel) you have the right to do as you please, whenever you please and how you please, I guess then that i just have the right to continue to treat you like a meaningless dirtbag--see? it works both ways, that's life. NOW, YOU get over THAT...if you can.
Well-stated, these addled-minded coons and spineless functionaries just dont seem to understand civic pride.
