Where can I go for a good view of the city?

Are there no good hills that overlook Winchester? I'm looking for a view. I know Winchester is nowhere near big enough to have a visable skyline, but is there anywhere I can go for a birds eye view? Most cities have at least one observation area at a high elevation that overlooks the area...

The best view is at Bear's Den, on Mt. Weather. It's part of the AT, approximately 20 miles east of Winchester on Rt 7 and offers the best views of the valley. The address to the hostel is 18393 Blueridge Mountain Road, Bluemont. There is a parking area there and the view is a short (1/4 mile) easy hike back to the most spectacular views.
