If you think my opinions are facts, then you are the idiot.I am stating observations that , not only I ,but others have opinions about. I've tried to do business with "The" bank and if you don't have the right name or live at the right address, but have very good credit, you couldn't get anywhere with RV. All anybody needs to do to find what is being borrowed is to check public records and or read minutes of meetings published in papers. With todays economy, any size borrowed through grants, loans etc can be considered a large amount. Sounds like someones reading between the lines and putting words into a different context. I am making observations, not mud slinging.......

You are a pessimistic, jealous person who can't stand other peoples success. I get tired of all of you who have nothing good to say and don't have to balls to publicly voice your opinions in a setting that would put a face behind all the bitching. I say get off your asses if things are so bad, put down the bong and get down to a city council meeting, get put on the agenda and start asking the people in power some questions. Falls City has many opportunities for people to contribute and make a difference. How many of you have even pledged $10 to EDGE? If you haven't been asked then why don't you volunteer to make a donation?

As far as RV helping the city, he helped to build and finance the library, helped pass the city sales tax that pays for both the library and the pool, he has volunteered his time to many organizations. He is a huge supporter of FCHS and Sacred Heart HS both financially and as a fan. I'm sure he has done more than I can think of right now.

If FNB won't give you the money then go to another bank, we have 3 others. I'm sorry your feelings were hurt by the denial of the loan, but grow up. It's called business.

pessimistic......prolly so but with FC's decline (along with every other small town in the nation) what else is there to be without some visible means to see potential for growth and renewal....jealous... of what success?? money?...come on first you would have to believe that money was an indicator of being a successful humanbeing. Since I have not been bitching I do take exception to being lumped into the "all of you" statement. That would be the same thing as if I said that anybody with faith in FC was an uppity brown nosing elitist. It's good to hear that Rod has contributed civically to FC....but then again anybody that has contributed time and effort to support any civic project should get the same recognition. I'm sure many a Mom has baked ton's of cookies and other goodies to support school functions that go just as far. I think an issue for some ppl is will Rod support business's that EDGE can interest in FC as a place to bring their money for investment. It will be EDGE that is responsible for bringing in business's, it will be the mayor and the city council that needs to support them once they get busness's interested. If there is no cooperation at this level, what business will want to start up here. This is what needs to be monitored by the ppl of FC by going to the council meetings and becoming active in local politics.

exactly........."This is what needs to be monitored by the ppl of FC by going to the council meetings and becoming active in local politics." Pay attention to what is going on. City and county. Enough of the party separation. Let's be all for one, one for all:The USA. It takes cooperation all the way around. And God Bless our Veterans.

BOY, is there a bee in that bonnet or what-??? You're way off base on this one. regarding the bong remark--I'll put my hair follicle up against yours any day. I'm so busy volunteering and attending local meetings (No addict here).EDGE can use the money saved from TB leaving for greener pastures that they shouldn't have to ask for donations or have too many expenses. The other banks were much easier to deal with also. I patronize them all- even FNB no grudge here,(due to FDIC regulations) got to spread that wealth around. Just getting tired of asking questions so that when they answer- by the time all the returic (sp?) is spoutted -nobody seems to remember or answered the question. I do want good things for FC and RC but in my OPINION -people are afraid of change if it comes from someone new and different -not really considered a "local" with no connections.....
