Oh yah, blame the key board. Like a golfer blaming his clubs. Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

I don't have any idea how to find out who the write ins were, short of calling the County clerks office

Pappadoc or Peter Parker.. thank you. I think. Unfortunately, this IS the man that I thought it was. I think I am going to be sick to my stomach.Do you know any more about this man Richard Goeringer? Is there a place where I could talk to you that is NOT in a public forum? If this guy is still violent, my safety could be at risk.

Thank you,
Sick to my Stomach in a town South of Yours.

If you give me the post numbers you are referring to, I will see what I can find
The original post that I read the blurb from the Police Blotter that you posted was #925. From page 47. Dated September 15,08. Also interested on any info on that Ronald Wiley, but more so on the other guy. Also I would like to find out more info on a house fire in Chicago Heights on Sept 10, 2008.
Thank you

Fly through history on your computer
By Paul Eisenberg Southtown/Star

Part of the duties of the secretary of state in Illinois is to serve as state librarian, and it's in this role that White may be doing some of his most important work.

Through the efforts of White's office, people are better able to reconnect with the past by using modern technology. Through grants, libraries and other organizations are digitizing their collections of historic documents and photographs - enabling people with Internet connections to access a wealth of historical material previously only available through extensive legwork.

Thanks to you both for responding. I did some digging and got to the bottom of this story and got some answers. While not a good situation to be in, the circumstances surrounding the events and my friend involved wasn't as bad as I feared.
I can rest easier now.

Crete woman dies in blaze; home owned by firefighter

April 13, 2009

By Becky Schlikerman, staff writer Southtown/Star

Outside the boarded-up Crete home where a woman died in a blaze still sit two lawn ornaments.

Though the porch behind the ornaments is melted and disfigured, a red hydrant and a dalmatian - classic firefighter icons - still stand intact.

Those adornments mean just one thing.

It's the home of a firefighter.
