I just want to open this up for discussion why Mike mccord and his son is allowed to tear down their their properties that are condemned and then let the debris lay there for months on end. I live next door to one of them and I am sick of looking at this mess everyday. Its four feet from my house. There is debris blowing in my yard, kids are walking by with nails everywhere. The whole street looks like a tornado went thru here. I have called them. The city hall, and our code enforcer. And they all lie and say we are going to take care of.it
Its been six months and nothing is different. The code enforcer said he was going to fine them but that hasn't been done as of yet. Just ride down Garland street and you will see. But its all over town. What happen to everybody cleaning up their yards? I need help with this
There is a number for Jefferson city. Does anyone have that number?

I recently saw two small children and one who looked preteen playing in the middle of all that debris one day last week. Someone is wide open for a huge lawsuit the first time a child gets hurt. If the owner of that property is known to the city officials, the city could also be liable for any injuries. Something should be done asap. Surely there are ordinances covering this type of deliberate neglect.

Sounds like its about time for a good old time ass whopping. The city of Steele want enforce the laws then the citizens should enforce it for them. He probably has bought the mayor and the rest of the board for a few bucks and now feels he doesn't have to abide by the law. A good ass whopping should set him straight.

No one should have to live by something that lays there for 6 months with the city doing nothing.

Maybe there should be some kind of law about these slum lords having to pay the city so much when they buy the house so when its falling in or its grown up or its burned down like the end of town, they might think twice about buying these places up. Maybe charge them 1000 dollars in advance and if nothing happens after so many years refund it. If it does send the workers out there and clean it up.

When my brothers house burned down his insurance settlement included and extra amount for clean up.McCord worked with Mrs Aumon neice to steal property from Betty.Even the old Aumon house looks like trash. He is a piece of trash if there ever was one. He is a Hatley and everything they owned burned to the ground.
