Full story: The York Daily Record

Nick Keene and Michael Hecker clearly didn't enjoy their time as jurors in the Michael Roseboro murder trial.

Jurors are allowed to tell people that they are on the jury, they just can't discuss details, etc. until the case is over...
I don't see the difference here. The comments by the actual jurors aren't off base.
We all tell our co-workers, friends, family members, face to face or on the phone if we have jury duty and that it stinks, etc.
These people are reaching. Perhaps in the future directions need be a little clearer - but Mr. Roseboro is guilty regardless!

Gee, I hope none of these guys (jurors)friends ever trust them with a secret--if direct orders from a judge didn't stop them from talking about a MURDER case, why would anything sacred to a friend or family member be safe?!! Idiots!!!!!

Does this mean we can get out of jury duty during the selection process by saying we use Facebook and Twitter all the time?

Why do these morons even feel they need to say anything at all? keep your f-ing mouths shut and grow up already! This facebook, twitter and myspace has gotten so out of hand it's pathetic. Do you really think everyone cares one bit about your life and what you are doing?

Obviously someone cares if his friends were posting messages back to him. I disagree with your comment that facebook and twitter have gotten out of hand. Because there are a lot of people out there who use it as a resource. Whether its to keep in touch with people that you dont always have a chance to or whether it's for business purposes. There are some people however that take it out of hand, but that is usually the people who are ignorant to what the internet is capable of. People (especially teenagers) don't always take into consideration that when you post something to one of these websites, not only do your friends see it, but the whole world sees it as well. I think parents need to be more aware of these things and should better educate their children.

So much for judges instructions. Just do what you wish. Sounds like a great defense ploy. These two idiots were probably chosen for duty, knowing they couldn't keep their hands off their eletronic devices. We'll be hearing more of this sort of bull$hit. Possibly Charlie Manson could get a new trial with this information. Forgot, didn't have BlackBerries in his day.

I suppose if you don't have any friends, you wouldn't understand Facebook.

Sure, I can make ten separate calls to tell friends and family about my kid's science fair award (or something). If I'm lucky, I may even interrupt something important that they were doing at the time.

Or, I can post a note about it on Facebook where they can read and comment about it at their own leisure.

It's the 21st century now. There are more efficient means of communication than Ma Bell.

Just another obsessed head case spending all day on the computer. And who cares about your brats science award? My point exactly. Please get a life, shut the computer down and pay attention to your kids.

Wow, it only took you five whole days to come up with such a witty response. Your mommy ought to be proud. You should post your intellectual achievement on your Facebook page.

Using "Common Sense" as your handle does not bestow such traits upon you. Do you realize that posting what you did, using your computer, makes you a hypocrite? You are more than welcome to put your computer away for life since you are noticeably worried about its attention diverting capabilities.

I can see how a narrow minded individual, like you, can only see the "bad" side of Facebook and the like. If you had a discerning brain, you'd understand that Facebook can be used properly, and with discretion.

Wait a minute..... I apologize. I just realized that you may be such a social outcast that Facebook is a bane of your existence. It's OK, we all understand.

Just what I thought, a do nothing stay at home frau. Be honest, you spend at least 8 to 10 hours a day on facebook. Admit it. Many people with no social skills use those sites. You are one of them. It's okay, your brats will raise themselves while you waste your life.

That's right.... you figured me all out. How do you carry around that huge intuitive brain of yours?

I raised my kids to be independent and discerning thinkers. After your kids turn 18, I hope you can someday convince them to quit clinging to your shirt when they try to step into the big scary world.

Why not spend some time on the treadmill instead of facebook? Then your poor husband won't have to get it from a trim, fit young woman. I almost forgot, you asked why it took 5 days to reply to your last nonsensical post. It's because I have a life outside of the computer. I'm not obsessed with the internet like you. Weight Watchers is having a special this month, check it out.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
