the only reason we still have any liberties is the fact that the coal baron lost his empire. please check the reliability of information. many bloody union vs company battles give stearns a very distinct dogma.

The coal baron's empire was only replaced by another's. Quite the interseting story I am working on about the 'Historic' Stearns area. Any info anyone would like to contribute?

Thank you. I have followed your posts on many forums and find you to be well informed and quite intelligent. What is your take on the McCreary County Heritage Foundation?

Recent sources have told me that there has been another "phantom" position created and filled by that particular association. Could this be another "non-profit" grant money filter for our great congressman and his comprades'?

I agree but it is only because of the clowns in charge. Did you see the big plans they stole from someone else. They can't even come up with their own ideas or even take care of the buildings they have now so how can they build anything new that will not decay from neglect while they milk the "cash cow". Almost $400,000 has been pumped into the renewal of the steam engine alone and it still sits in pieces waiting for more money to come to those clowns.

I would suggest that everyone from Stearns go look at the decaying structures, the mold, the filth in the out of way places. If I lived in Stearns I would be very pissed at what these clowns have done to the town.

Recently visited my old home town and my husband and I rode the BSFSR. I was so very disappointed in the condition I found in downtown Stearns! Although the Stearns Resturant seemed to be in fairly good repair and occupied, I noticed the shopping district was mostly vacant and the buildings in horrible disrepair. Could someone tell me what has happened to my old home town?

never fear in a time when the jobless rate is staggering, with people losing their homes and having little or no hope for a better life, our tax dollars will be doled out to refurbish it and all the areas the money mongrels have let set in decay, if it wasn't worth them saving 10 years ago i just wonder what makes it so now, if and when the money comes the world will know where it goes. when khic leaders buy anything we all know our taxes are supposed to take care of it for them. it is the rogers' way of life isn't it.

there was a report and he was in an investigation, it was reported that his funding was done in such an intricate , exspansive tirade of paper that it was hard to prove or disprove anything, it is to be expected when executives who make 349 thousand dollars a year are responsible for the paper, multiple multi-million and possibly billionaires have emerged through this , eventually it will be known.

i'll tell you exactly what the hold up is because this clown doesn't want to be a whistle blower, i am aiming for the possibility of being a f---ing horn blower and a long winded one at that, so run if need be, or just cover your ears don't matter to me.

Jealous of what?

No one is jealous of clowns who put on a facade.

I agree.

The people of McCreary County need to get together and appoint a committee to devise a plan of action and then petition the local government to implement it. If enough people were behind such an effort then the politicians would take note. We need to stop being lazy and waiting for someone else to step up and make it happen.

I am doing all I can but for the most part it is like being stranded on a deserted island with little hope of a rescue because no one cares.

what is the plan you want to implement? "kill all the money hungry people who came here at the same time spencer did, or just the theiving conniving politicians, either sounds like a good plan, but plan b will also work, and if they don't go to jail maybe they will just go away.
