Hey all, just wanted some opinions and tips and being a great daddy, just talkin about things you maybe have picked up from experience, currently our little girl is a lil over a month old, i work 40+ every week and usually in the mornings, when i get off work im directly home, usually try to take over the baby duties so the ole lady can get some sleep, until about 11-12..Then i usually pass the duties on to her so i can get some sleep becuz i work in the morning, should i feel bad abotu this? Is there possibly more i could do?

thanks any and all info/help would be great!

Stop referring to your loving wife as "ole lady".

Then just work on some respect for her, not sayin you don't. Maybe pick her some flowers and not just on certain occasions. Helping with housework while she sleeps would go a long way because no one understands how much work is required of a mother/housekeeper. As for being a "great dad", pay a lot of attention to your daughter, sing to her if you can, she will remember that throughout her life. Read her stories and as she gets older always uplift her in everything she does. If she spills some milk, maybe laugh and tell her that you did that as a child and ask her to help clean it up, then tell her that she did a good job followed by a big hug.

Children are our responsibilities and I made many mistakes with mine, they are in their 30's now and I now know that hindsight is 20/20. Good luck and I am already impressed with you as a parent and spouse because you asked for guidance.

Hey, in my opinion, you've already taken the first giant step to becoming a great father! You're concerned enough to want to be!! Kudos!! You're going to do FINE!! I just know it!!!

And don't let anyone 'coerce' you two into marriage 'for the child's sake'. Commitment is so much more than just a piece of legal paper!!
