Gladys knew me as "Sugar Pie." She lived across from our family on Winthrop Street - cared for me and my four siblings, walked us to Third Presbyterian Church every Sunday, defended us when we needed protection, cheered us when we needed to laugh, and continued to encourage us throughout our lives. She saw needs and made a difference. I am grateful for cherished memories of dear, sweet Gladys.
