Pit bulls are not born vicious but they ARE born dangerous; because aggression, gameness (unwillingness to give up a fight), their unique breeding that causes them to see other dogs as prey and their highly damaging hold and shake attack style ARE born into them. Not every pit bull will attack and harm or kill someone. But when they do the event is causes catastrophic, disfiguring, permanent injuries which is why a pit bull should be treated more like a lion than just another dog.

first of all pitbulls are not born dangerous they are born like any other dog. As a owner of 2 rescued pitbulls one that had been rescued from a fighting ring, and 3 other rescued mutts they are nothing but big old lap dogs that love to give kisses. I would trust them with any other dog or child. Oh and by the way I also own cats of which they live very happily with. All the pitbulls that I know are more like lambs then lions. The pitbull was orginally bred to be nannies to children because of their dedication to families and their children.

How many Pit Bulls have you owned? I would say none. I've never had a dangerous Pit Bull!!! So are Serial Killers BORN dangerous?

I am so proud that our pit bull adopted us. After 3 years of abuse and being bred she was set free in some woods near our home. Scared, shaken and rattled she would not come near any human. We finally were able to get her help from the CASPCA and we adopted her! She is the best pet ever!!! Thank you for all you do to help the most misunderstood breed!!
