Augusta Supervisors Hit Hard by Proposed State Budget - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Spor...

The state is cutting back because of the economy, and everyone is. Well, most people. I understnad why schools are up set. the BOSis in charge to spread the oney we map in taxes and money they get from the state every year. And they do a darn great job. Everyone is having to cut back and will for a while until the economy gets better. So get use to the cuts, yes , they will hurt and kids in schoola will have to do with out things and going places. Thats the way it is right now. So, dont ask of a tax increase, I already have a $1500 bill every year and dont have kids in the school system. So why should I pay more. I pay enough. They BOS is doing its best. they are like you, they can not grow or print money, like the goverment can. they are in the same boat. So set back, accept what you and the schools get and shut the hell up. If you want your Johnny or Sue to have something in school other than a teacher and books, and learning supplys, then get it out of your own pocket.

Augusra county supervisors need to ask their district court how much unpaid fines are on the books and need to be collected.
The same goes for other counties.
