Man Accused of Stealing a School Bus Escapes from Western State Hospital

A Fishersville man accused of stealing an Augusta County school bus and crashing it into a building has escaped from Western State Hospital.

Western State Hospital says missing patient Joseph Henschel returned willingly Wednesday afternoon.

This guy obviously suffers from some mental illness, and needs help. So why did WSH send him back to jail when he turned himself in? It seems the only one he is interested in harming is himself. How sad. God help him.

This is very sad, I knew this person a few years ago, such a nice guy married and has a child. So said to see he what he is doing now, doesn't seem like anything I would have pictured him doing. Hope he gets help and is able to get his life back on track. Joey, I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers.
