Living in Minnesota and seeing stories about people living out there on the island with cold houses because of holes in the walls.

Here in Minnesota we would buy some caulk and a caulk gun and plug the holes.

What am I missing??

You in NY expecting FEMA to wipe your arse or what??

It's read, but mostly by those of us across the country that keep up on things.

I've tried to spark their interest several times before... Just ain't happening.

Who you got for the Superbowl?

Guess NYers are busy waiting for FEMA to wipe their arses.

Superbowl, I'm betting on the commercials.

P.S. My bro claims NYC produces NOTHING and could be blown up with impact on the USA.

actually, a big part of the problem here is that , it's not holes in the walls, it's that there are no walls. In fact, there is an insulation and drywall shortage, as well as a shortage of electrical contractors. Staten Island is a community of republicans dedicated to taking care of themselves, many people applied for aid and withdrew their applications when the line of questioning seemed overly invasive (ie. in 2009 you made a late payment on a credit card, can you tell us why that happened?) The reality is, because of the high bridge tolls to get onto the island, we are often out of essentials at a time of high demand. If you want to have beef with new yorkers expecting the feds to bail them out, that is fine but leave Staten Island of it. These people take care of themselves.
