Highly unprofessional. Arrived 20 minutes late to the appointment and offered no apology or explanation. Was rude and abrupt during the eye exam. I absolutely *refuse* to recommend this optometrist. (He is also located at the Pearle Vision store in the Nittany Mall).

He was unorganized, impatient, and did not seem to care. He sighed when I asked questions and did not make me feel comfortable. I was very disappointed after my visit with him at Pearle Vision in the Nittany Mall.

go to wal mart vision center ,you will be treated like a animal,more so if you are colored or black african american.never being treated like a human being at all all my visits to vision center for any questions. that men always throw me out rudely as if i am a peice of shit

All he cares is to show that u are blind!! he gave me such a strung prisc. I was never myopic and he wrote 1.25 for it!!! He is really pushy during exam, make u tired and then he would say "oh U're eyes are really week", after wearing the glass he suggested, I told him that I can't see really good, I think something is wrong , his answer : " U will get used to it"!!! I visited him at Pearle Vision in the Nittany Mall. I got a new test and found out I have just 0.25 myopia!!

I agree with all these posts, and have been looking for a place to complain ever since my visit to the Nittany Mall Pearle Vision in January. I arrived just before for my scheduled appointment at 2 PM, did not get out of there till after 4. When I arrived, I was given several sheets of paperwork, and Dr. Blender decided to help another guy while I filled it out. He told me "he would be right back." It was another 40 minutes before he came back, and he offered no explanation as to what caused the hold-up. We finally began my eye exam, he tried to tell me I wasn't being honest about the slides he was showing me, and just guessing about them, which I wasn't. After we got done, despite me showing him my insurance card, he claimed there was a problem with the insurance information I had given, and he needed to call for some kind of comfirmation from the company. Another hour later, he got what he needed. I used the same insurance policy at Target Optical the previous year, and had absolutely no trouble with it. Dr. Blender got rude and acted defensive when I asked him questions. Asshole.

[OD Disaster]

Dr. Blender is not very personable, it seems as if he doesn't really enjoy people...I felt that he was condescending during my exam. He "re-phrased" things for me because I had made a joke and thought I wasn't paying attention to what he said. Basically made me feel as though I was the problem. I was happy that he corrected my vision to better than what my old script was...but he doesn't make you feel as though you can ask him questions. At one point during that glaucoma (air test) he told me that I was blinking, moving, and tearing up too much and that "he really can't work with this."

I agree with all the posts. He was very rude, impersonal, condescending and impatient. No one deserves to be treated like this!!!
