SAVING SANDWICHES: Fans of Taylor's Maid-Rite rally around Mars...

Full story: WHOtv

You wanna rally the people? Threaten one of their icons. "I'm moving to Oregon at the end of the month and if they close this place down, I'm never coming back to Iowa," says a Taylor's Maid-Rite customer, crowded onto a stool, Wednesday night in Marshalltown.

Now Sodders needs to listen to everyone who wants gay marriage put up to a vote. Apparently he listens to sandwich complaints but still votes no to letting Iowans vote on social issues. Good for Taylor's and Iowans for standing up to the state.

You know you just can't fix STUPID!!! The State could save even more money - fire the idiot that wants to force someone out of business. Keep up the fight to save Taylor's Maid-Rite. I eat there every chance I get and the only problem I have ever had is finding a place to park!!!!

So if we put it to a vote that women in Iowa can't vote or own property and must walk three paces behind and to the left of her husband, then it gets 51% of the vote for approval, that would be just fine with you. I mean it's the will of the people to oppress a certain segment of the population certainly that would be just fantastic, Oh unless it affects you, right? People have the right to be happy, gay people being married isn't going to impact the fact that I have been married for 20 years, raised two children and plan on staying with my wife for the rest of our lives. The constitution says that you cannot discriminate against anyone. Bigot.

I grew up in Marshalltown. I moved away in 1977, but every time I go back to IA, I always go to Taylors Maidrite. I have tried the imitations, and it is not the same!! Please vote this law in. I also bring back Maidrites to Denver, CO for my sister that has been gone since the 60's.

What I see is employee's not wearing a hair-net on the video. That's it!
I don't see anything here.
Cross contamination could be a problem, as long as the meets temperture requirements.
I just don't see a problem here.
This place reminds me of my deceased aunt running her restaurant in the live-stock sale barn yrs ago.(Walker)
My husband, a native from Amana, thinks the State is looking for things that aren't there.
My husband knows that in Amana they throw left-over food in the pot.
If we get a chance, we want to get to Marshalltown, we want to try it.
I just think the State is causing waves here & reading too much into it!

I love Taylor's! But if the state's food safety inspectors and Maid-Rite Corporate both say the practice is risky, shouldn't we pay attention to them?

Too much government. Much, much, too much. Once again, the government is the problem, not the solution. The Department of Inspections and Appeals must be grossly over-funded.
