Tom-Tom, I'm just glad there are 2 jurors who have enough integrity to know the raises were wrong. One of them is donating his raises to the Richland Council on Aging and the other is seeking to find a worthy cause to donate his to. He isn't cashing them, which is very admirable. I hope he decides to donate them to the Delta Humane Society. We need funds very badly and don't receive any help from the Parish or State. And we are a 501(c)3 organization so all proceeds are tax deductible. Donations help to save our 4-legged friends lives.
On another note: All the jurors would need to do is amend the budget and take their raises out of the budget. They should know this. It just shows that the majority of them are in it for the money and not to help the citizens in this Parish.

I tried on FB to get answers to several questions with no reply so I'm trying this open media. Can anyone tell me why the Police Jury chose the highest bid for equipment when the lowest bid included 3600 free maintenance hours. Could it be someone in the PJ is getting a kick back?

#2 question: why is it that the majority of the PJ thinks its ok for supervisor Joey Evans can give free dirt to an individual to cover his culvert when this is totally against the law!!

#3 question: why is it ok for PJ Ken McKay have a paved road to his house and a gravel road to his daughters house all maintained by the PJ but another individual can't get the PJ to make a man remove a locked gate on a parish on a parish road that leads to another individual's property and this is the only access to his property? This same PJ had a cattle gap installed on the road to his home at the expense of the parish?

#4 question: why is it that a secretary of PJ cursed out an employee of a hardware but received no reprimand except to apologize? This shows a lot of integrity to most of the PJ doesn't it??

#5 question: the records of phone calls between a secretary to an employees stepson had many, many calls, some lasting 30 minutes every day but once the phone calls were investigated all calls between these two ceased! I wonder if this Nan's wife could tell me!!

To all citizens of Richland Parish who think I am spreading gossip why don't you investigate for yourself by requesting the PJ records or are you just willing to let this parish continue to act as Obama's buddy!

Ms. Milby (thank you for using your name), I don't know where you got your information, but you are spot on! I'm not allowed to give you an answer for #1 as I don't have proof. However, I can say this isn't the first incident involving the purchase of vehicles and equipment for the Parish.#2. The Police Jury has been giving away dirt for culverts since electricity was invented. If they try to stop now, someone is going to say, "but you gave so and so dirt." To which they could respond, "We have since found out it is illegal and can no longer do it." However, this might lead to a lost vote.#3. Asked and responded to at the meeting this week. Mr. McKay claimed there are 12 people living on the road (not houses) and therefore constitutes a public road legally. Not so. However, since that road has been maintained and in the public system since the minnow farms were there, it would have to be abandoned in a publicly advertised meeting now. Mr. McKay tried to deny the cattle gaps were built by the Parish, but one of the employees who built them was at the meeting and loudly contradicted McKay.(twice). The second part of your question I can't answer as my understanding is it is being resolved by attorneys. One says it's a Parish Rd. and the other says it's not.#4. Mr. Evans secretary, Dawn, did talk to Home Hardware using a bad vocabulary, but I'm not sure exactly what was said. I only know it was related to PO's Home Hardware was questioning or trying to get numbers for. One juror heard the phone conversation and was very perturbed. But it takes a majority to fire someone - after it goes through the Labor Committee.:-(#5. I doubt very seriously you'd get an honest answer out of "that man". Don't you?
Ms. Milby, it would probably behoove you to take your complaints to the Monroe News Star and The Richland Beacon in the form of a letter. I know the editor here would be more than happy to help you investigate your concerns.
Until these jurors involved are caught, or turned in to the La. State Leg. Auditors Office, they will continue to commit malfeasance in office.

Thank you Judy. I can get you proof on question one, the name of the two companies, the bid, and what they offered. Also the record as to who voted for the highest and the lowest. As for the two attorneys who HAD TO HAVE 30 days to read the law, how stupid, it was presented to them at the meeting. I can say I wouldn't hire either one for fear they don't know the law especially the one that says what that man is doing with a locked gate on a parish road must be a total idiot! That would be like me putting a gate across my neighbors road cause he stirs too much dust!

The people voted the sheriff and DA in office not the Police Jury. And for a simple battery charge against Ronnie Gilley has been turned over to the La Attorney General! Now isn't this something! Why do we need a DA if he can't or won't do HIS job. Sounds like he is biased and he certainly isn't in favor of Ronnie. Actually Joey Evans has been maintaining the DA's road through the parish because I quote, " I never know when I might need him." Seems Joey was right!

I have contacted the media and personally plan meeting with the Stare Auditors office. I can't be intimated by anyone and I certainly am NOT AFRAID of anyone!

Also Judy maybe you can answer this, how us it legal for the Police Jurors that have insurance through their business or other businesses receive a check from the PJ in the amount of what the PJ would pay for them? I worked for the state but didn't take their insurance and I promise the state did not give me what they would have paid for coverage!! Corruption, Corruption! OMG the attorneys for the PJ will require a year to check this out!

Question 3 about the daughters house, it's private, ask them, they bought their own rock not too long ago, not the parish

. One more response to the daughter's road: the road is listed as a parish road so why would one BUY rock? Oh I know, they are trying to save the parish some money..

Haha, y'all are something,,, I get facts by asking direct to the person, not running around trying to get people stirred up on Topix,,, check history of that road, I've lived in Archibald my whole life and Anderson Minnow Farm used to be down that road ( company was largest in the world for minnow farms) it was paved 15 years ago, you acting like it just happened.

HaHa back at ya. I don't run around anywhere! Where I get my FACTS IS from the horses mouth. I attend meetings! As far as getting folks stirred up that is entirely up to each individual as you have done in your response to only one question! Folks need toget stirred up when the parish is operating as Obama and think they own it! This is why the parish is in the shape it is, too many sit back and accept the corruption! I didn't ask you or anyone else to get all up in the air, I simply ask the questions answered but all you can concentrate on is that one question pertaining to the DAUGHTER! To each his/her own. Have a wonderful afternoon Archibald RESIDENT.

I assume you're saying that by asking a person directly their response is naturally going to be an honest answer? The Minnow Farm road has been a Parish Rd. for as long as I can remember and was never abandoned. You are correct with that one. However, it has been used for cattle crossings over the past few years, and that is illegal. Now the juror is stating he no longer has cattle so it's not a problem. Really? In that case, why didn't he have the cattle gaps removed and install culverts? Instead he opted to have Parish employees build the cattle gaps and, when they blew the whistle, they were fired. He stated, at this months meeting, that a cattle gap was given to him. The employee who was fired stated, adamantly, that he built the cattle gap! Why would a juror lie? Because that is what this Parish has for leaders. The majority (and not all) are only there to receive a pay check and get what they can out of the system. If one tries to be honest, they're ostracized.(Look that word up).

Why is it that all you can or will comment on I'd that one particular road? Is this all you know or is it you want to ignore my other questions as certain members of the Police Jury does? No proof but I will get it, I think you must be the one who lives on this road! Oh well I am signing off of your comment cause you can or will only comment on the same thing like a broken record. Since you are the only one "getting stirred up" I'm surprised that you continue. See you soon with proof from the state. I have enjoyed your visit very much, thank you..
