Does anyone else see similarities between Josh's disappearance and that of Shaun Thornhill's?

Praying for his safe return. I have also thought of that. It is scary to think about. Someone knows something & I wish they would come forth.

I don't see any similarities other that they still are not found, locations are too separated and details I heard which are few don't seem to tie them together...I won't speculate because I do not know the guy at all, but I do know finding someone alive after 48 hours becomes very difficult and I hate to say but I feel this mystery, like the Thornhill man may not ever be solved...

He's been missing since January. His truck was found in a wooded area, with his personal things in it. No sign of him anywhere. He's still missing.

I see similarities between the two cases. Both men were on a similar route. The location where Mr. Berry's truck was found is in a rural wooded area and is on the route from natchez, st francisville to Rayville; as was Mr. Thornhill. It was noted the Mr. Berry would often leave home for a couple of days per his wife's report. Mr. Thornhill was away from home for a couple of days at a time (at least on one occasion, and more; Mr. Thornhill was not married and thus did not have anyone to whom he needed to report his whereabouts). Neither vehicle had blood nor sign of struggle. Both vehicles had wallets inside. Both vehicles were trucks. Both men were from the Rayville area. There are other likely similarities too that I won't go into here for the sake of privacy. Neither man has been found. Oh, there are plenty of similarities. The cases may be unrelated but for the sake of both men, these similarities warrant further investigation to rule out the presence of other links and relationships that may provide potential clues regarding the circumstances that led to their disappearances.

I know josh and know that his so called friends have a lot to tell if u ask me. I talked to him a couple days before and I really think its sad he's a daddy a husband and someone's child. I can't do anything but wonder why him instead of me or any of the many others that was are friends. I know I have completely shut myself off from friends and even family be aisle this is just crazy. Much love to his family

My bet is the first case is drug/and or robbery related, I don't know much about the second case but I can bet like always there's someone close to him that isn't telling the full story...

Both Josh Berry and Shawn Thornhill were both known to be drug addicts. This is sad but very true. I just hope they are both found and found alive.

Have they ever looked into the possibility of the Mexican drug cartels. Just saying cause they made a bust in another parish close by not to long ago and found out the busted had ties with the cartels.

How badly wrecked was Joshua Berry's truck?

Reactor, Josh's truck wasn't wrecked all that bad...as a matter of fact it's still being driven around today...the wreck looked almost staged. There was no "real" investigation done...his daddy presented stuff that was found in the truck that had been taken out and given to them (his family), but never was searched/fingerprinted by the investigators. The truck itself was never even checked...no fingerprints, no nothing...just sent away to have the small repairs fixed.

They even found his cell phone in there and rather than doing any type of research on the numbers that he had called, they called the people that had been looking for him (his wife, other family, and friends)...

Personally, I feel like the police really don't care...they knew he was pretty big on the drug scene and wanted him out...the reason I say this, is because look at what happened with the black girl that caught herself on fire down in Winnsboro (this happened around the same time)...they had the FBI and all these other people down there searching for these imaginary people, where as nothing major was done when Josh (or even the Thornhill guy) came up missing...

I'm not sure about anything pertaining to the Thornhill situation, but I was close to Josh and his family...

There was a time Josh was gone for 2 years living in another state, under another name...it could be what happened in this situation...but there's no reason as to why he wouldn't contact his family (as he did when he was living under the other name)...

I've heard alot of made up stories about the whole thing, but 2 of them seem to be the most persistent...

1. Josh recently lost his job working off and fell back into his old habits...he ultimately fell into a large debt with a dealer and had to pay "the ultimate price"

2. Starts off the same (about him losing his job)...but ends with he was given bad drugs (or) overdosed.

As sad as it is, he's more than likely living among the angels now...
