He has worked diligently to improve conditions in Rayville.

Forgive me Judy but if building housing for those of low income is what you mean by conditions I beg to see this as a positive...some like myself struggles to go and finance and PAY...for some place to live that isn't as nice as these places...personally if I can do it they can do it...I don't feel sorry for them, but I guess that's just my pride Comming out...I believe in equal opportunity...and it's time they get a opportunity to go down to the bank and get a loan and earn your place, we keep giving nicer places to live to low income than the middle class can afford they will never do any better...imagine moving away from a paid for brick apartment into a 400$ trailer house? Just think about it
Razorbk, my comment was made with tongue in cheek. Had I known it would post, it never would have been made. Maybe I should have used a pseudonym and said how I really feel. Oh heck! Here goes......The city was awarded grant money to replace water lines because of the cruddy water. Most water has only improved somewhat. They were given another huge grant to build the road behind Jim Taylor Chev. as an access road to Gin Rd. and Fragala. Why? Well, for the strip malls "coming". If you sit on that road and count the amount of traffic on it, you'll say a lot of negative things. Land owners made a good profit off of it though, didn't they? And roads were torn up by the dump trucks hauling massive amounts of concrete from the sidewalks that were rebuilt. So, now I've put my feelings in here honestly and have definitely not won any popularity awards. Oh well.:-) You live and then you die.
Thank you for your input, sir(?). I do understand what you're saying.

Please accept my apologies for my first comment. The politician in me said "that's the right thing to say". The ex-politician in me says, "you idiot! Why didn't you say it how it really is". You all did it for me.
I'm sorry.

Mrs. Green, you did make a good politician. Talking out of both sides of your mouth is classic La. politics. You have been rambling on about what everyone should do about this issue, that issue, past situations & everything in between. I don't know how you got elected the first time but thank goodness you got defeated! Do you not have a paying job besides posting on internet???
(YOUR comments--> 'The ex-politician in me says, "you idiot! Why didn't you say it how it really is". You all did it for me.')
Well--you certainly described yourself well in that above statement! That is the most accurate sentence that you have ever posted on here!
You have all of these fantastic ideas (TONGUE in CHEEK)----but haven't done a darn thing during the past 3 yrs, 10 months. Why don't RP have the 'dream' animal shelter that you describe in your previous posts? You could have taken care of that while on the Police Jury! These parish roads, especially in your district are absolutely the BEST (tongue in cheek, again). I left the bottom of my car & the muffler in a pothole on one of your roads.
After reading your posts about the people's dogs running by your 'camp'--I checked around to see where your 'camp' is. WELL, I'm sure as disturbed that you were about seeing the dogs trailing a wild animal----THESE neighbors are twice as disturbed about having a 'camp' in their yard. I know I would LOVE to hear gunshots at daylight, gunshots at noon and/or a RIFLE blast at dusk. Who knows-you may even be over there firing off rounds at night????? You must live in a dream world--flipping and flopping around on every subject. You try to be the expert on every topic discussed on here!
I didn't vote for you either time. My last comment is 'GO, SCOOTER, GO!' I'm sure that Kayo Lewis is totally impressed by your honesty & comments. Maybe you are getting a head start on a campaign for Rayville Mayor (next city elections). He's actually doing a much better job as mayor than you ever thought about doing while on the Police Jury.
I will tell you how I really feel later! thank you for listening to my rambling! Now, get a job like the rest of us and take some time off from the internet! People are tired of seeing your name on here. don't even waste your time typing a reply back to me because no one cares, especially me! That vote for Mr. Medlin was the best vote I cast on election day.
I didn't vote for you either time. My last comment is 'GO, SCOOTER, GO!'

"psycho" anal-yze you? No need. I could see you coming a mile off. If you think I didn't do anything the whole 3yrs. 10 mos. on the jury, you've only hit one pothole and missed the good roads. If you think I voted yes to all the trucks and equipment the Parish wanted to purchase (parish manager) knowing we didn't need it, you should have been there. If you think my roads are the only sorry a$$ roads in this Parish, you need to get out more.
We do have an animal shelter Ms. Cow. And "we" work hard to keep it going! Is your money, time, fostering anywhere in it? Do you think 1 juror can solve the problems this Parish has? Look at my voting record. I make a motion to abide by animal laws and don't get a second. Why? Because no one cares! And if you really cared, you'd have been there. Along with the rest of The Delta Humane Society!
Go, Scooter, Go?!? I hope he does succeed where I couldn't. I hope you aren't eating your words by the end of next year. Maybe you should have checked into his work record as well?? Nope, I'm not going to bash now.
I worked hard and if you have the guts to call me or meet me I'll take you everywhere I've worked (thank the Parish employees, btw) and show you.
You, ma'am, are more to be pitied than censored!

Oh, and for the record? You don't live in my district and didn't vote for either of us.
If you have a complaint about my work, or lack of, tell me at the meeting. We'll get into it again, with full jury backing!

Pretty street signs through half of town, the shittiest sidewalks you could imagine, and I can't even tell the mexicans did anything to the one-way....not Avery good job if you ask me. Oh but we have a couple more project houses that will look just like the west houses in five years!! K.o. Lewis is as good a mayor as he was a principal....all for some and none for all...

I'm trying to get a price on street signs. Our secretary is looking it up and will let me know. People do need to know that things like this do come out of taxpayers money. I "think" the sidewalks were part of that water grant, but don't know enough to discuss it. I do know they dumped all of the concrete at the end of Gaines Rd. and tore the road up to gravel. Our "efficient" Parish Manager has refused my request to put the road back to blacktop. Maybe my successor will have more luck. I hope so. And, as I said earlier, the housing project north of town is going to affect the flow of water inundating Rayville. The shame of it is, we're going to have to wait for a flood before we can determine what to do to "try" to fix it. One other thing. Mayor Lewis got Wal-Mart to donate land for a city park. Why didn't he help the Humane Society get land so they could build proper facilities? Which do we need more?

After you leave Monroe, Rayville should be the next town listed on highway signs. You only see a sign that says Rayville when you are two miles from town. Being the parish seat, Rayville should be much larger than it is. The present mayor is doing nothing to make Rayville grow. All the growth that has been done is because of I-20 and the four-laning of Hwy. 137/425. How can Rayville grow if the town council meets about 30 minutes once a month. They can't possibly discuss matters of the town in that length of time. Dilapidated houses set for months maybe years before anything is done to them. Brown water is still a problem even with the millions of dollars the town has gotten to fix the problem. The main streets are in need of repair. Instead of repairing streets that flood when there is a large rain, high-water signs are placed along the streets. Drainage ditches are clogged so waater cannot move. It just stays there until it is soaked in the ground. There are too many things that can be done, but are not done. The council needs to wake up and do their job or get out.

I have mixed emotions about Rayville. I see improvements in places and I see money spent or grants recived in places that does not need it. I think a new police and fire department complex would be nice something bigger for them. Also Hwy 425 through town is in dire need of repair and drainage issues need to be addressed but we can't blame Rayville for something the state maintains. All in all Lewis is doing a fair job I will give him a B- grade.

The FD Def does not need a new complex... They could use some better employees and a real fire chief with certifications to be a chief. But I agree that Rayville needs big improvements. The mayor is more worried about giving away houses to the undeserving over anything else.

I seen unmanned fire stations in better shape than Rayville. I have to agree Rayville needs a new fire station I don't know about certs of the chief or needing better employees because I live out of town.

There is nothing wrong with their station. Especially when there is only 1 man on duty.

Richlandgal aka Judy. Judy you do have other psuedonyms on here, I have watched very carefully how you post stuff. You must be certifiable to talk to yourself and argue with yourself.

Quit being tongue in cheek and be either for or against something. People don't like wishy washy.

I am not Richland Gal and do have another alias which I haven't used in a very long time. I believe it was Police Juror. I'm proud of who I am and will sign my name to anything I say. I've watched you, too, and you remind me of Frick and Frack. You have so many alias's spouting your disfavor of me. I have stated I am not running for any office, now or in the future. So don't get the impression I have political expectations. I just want things done in a way to help all of us in the Parish. Now, behave yourself and go play with your udders.

The mayor is holding a position and getting paid for that position. Nothing else is relevant. The councilmen/women doing same. No positive service from any of them. Don't dare question them because they will just give themselves a raise like Jonesboro & Rayville police jurors. They are acting like the Whitehouse. The left hand acts as though it doesn't know what the right hand is doing. By the way who took Lorenzos place or is he still on payroll
