I can't believe that after three years that people are still posting on this website. Why don't you let it be and move on with your own life. Amber and her dear little baby are gone and nothing can bring them back...Leave this stupid message board alone and let Amber and her sweet baby rest in peace...

Is the "Gene Taylor" from post #959 the former Anderson County Sheriff "Gene Taylor"? If so, do you really want to talk about the "good ol' boy" system? I'd be happy to discuss it with you. I know of a bar in Anderson that has a mixed drink called The Gene Taylor. It's soft, fruity, and doesn't really do much of anything.

I knew Amber Robey and this whole story just makes me look at life a little funny like. First and foremost, no one deserves to die by someone else's hand, except God's (although when I knew Amber she told me that she didn't believe in God). Secondly, it is horrible that her daughter went to Heaven so early. I had no idea Amber had other children as well.

I knew Amber, not like a friend, but I sat next to her for 50 minutes each day. 50 horrible minutes. She was probably the meanest person I knew during that period of my life. 50 minutes every day until she graduated. ARG! She was mean to everyone and I knew that she did so much acid that a part of her brain was missing...at least that is what she used to gloat about. Also, I know that she was not continuing to get better at the bass, she was amazing at it yes, but she wasn't able to get any better since she did so many drugs that it messed up her brain. Amber was even violent toward me. I truly hated her. She was mean to me because I was an easy target and wouldn't say anything back because I didn't want to get kicked out of the class. I knew she would be someone who would hit someone else. She always seemed like that kind of violent. She used to yell and scream at me. Even throw things at me. This is what I remember of her. Hopefully she changed in her later years. She was very disturbed back then.

I heard about this murder a few years ago and was a little shocked. I do feel sad for Amber. I never learned much of her life, expect what she told me about the drugs and that her dad had a motorcycle.

I look at this case and can't understand why someone would shoot anyone in the chin! It is hard for me to believe the self-defense plea because this girl would have had to have been holding the gun, actually pick up her hand, and pull the trigger looking at Amber in the face. I never knew Cyndi or Cynthia.

From what I knew back then when I knew Amber, I can only conclude that Amber was probably being violent toward this girl and the girl felt threatened. My only problem is, how can you feel the kind of threatened where you actually hold a gun to someone's face and pull the trigger...aren't you then threatening that other person.

I often think about this case since I first heard of it a few years ago and even though I really DID NOT like Amber at all, the way she left the earth was pretty horrible and I do pray that she is in Heaven with her baby. Family of Amber Robey, I am sorry for your losses.

It is so sad that this Marchbanks girl pulled the trigger towards an unarmed Amber. There is no excuse for this. Was this Marchbanks girl messed up bad on drugs like Amber? I get the impression here that both of them were spinning out of control on drugs. Like a time bomb. Where were the loving families then? This Marchbanks clan claimed to be very religious, but appears to have not steppe din to stop any of this. By reading alot of these posts here, it sounds like some good ole boy politics and dealings were going on to keep this Marchbanks girl out of jail. I think that she should be in jail now.

Is this the case that the Anderson University student was doing her thesis based in for Dr. Maze?

Cynthia is now and has been dating my exboyfriend since 2010. Cynthia now has a baby with him that just turned 1 yro this past September. After emailing him about some stuff that he had left at my place when we broke up, I found out he was dating her and they were expecting. Shortly after that, I came across her name in some news articles. Being a paralegal myself, I am horrified that this is the type of person that he has chosen to have a baby with and that she SHOULD BE IN JAIL instead of being on the street reproducing.

of you. Unless you walk in someone s shoes you don t habe thenright tomjudge ever, ever. You don t know what you would do till you have been there. Judge all you like but then pray,to god Decision fatigue helps explain why ordinarily sensible people get angry at colleagues and families, splurge on clothes, buy junk food at the supermarket and can't resist the dealer's offer to rustproof their new car. No matter how rational and high-minded you try to be, you can't make decision after decision without paying a biological price. It's different from ordinary physical fatigue - you're not consciously aware of being tired - but you're low on mental energy. The more choices you make throughout the day, the harder each one becomes for your brain, and eventually it looks for shortcuts.
all the answers cause junless you do you know nnothing.,life is shit and things happens and clearly you've no clue!

Cynthia is living in Norris, SC now. Probably got tired of running to her closet every time there was a knock on the door there in Anderson.
