Just wondering if anyone has a Edenpure if you do you like it? does it work? how much does it save on your bill?

Brandon,...

Save your money and buy a $60 heater at Walmart. Takes up less space, heats just as good, and is easier to return if it messes up. Speaking from experience!

Beware ads that are word smithed to avoid false advertising and actual truth. They sell you an impression of truth by the way they word the ad. Ask yourself why they compare the heater's utility use to a coffee maker. Be sure to understand a coffee maker is only in use for ten to twenty minutes, twice a day at most. That's NOT the equation they're using. If a coffee maker ran all day it would run up a tidy utility bill. By that all day equation, the heater "might" use comparable electricity, ergo they avoid false advertising. See what I'm saying?

I purchased one of the large Edenpure heaters 2 years ago and I love it. I heats a very large space and keeps it warm, with no hot or cold spots. It is easily portable because of the rollers.
It is very energy efficient. It is also safe with children and pets. Our cat sits on it with no harm.
It is a very simple concept that works very well. It is very good for older homes that have little insulation. It tends to heats objects in the room instead of trying to heat all the cold air.
I would give it a high recommendation.
Definitely think it is much more cost effective and heats much better than a cheap heater from WalMart and it is safer.
I have several friends that use the EdenPure as supplemental heat and have gotten rave reviews from everyone.

The one I bought was no better than the cheaper units I already had. The second week the bulb burnt out on the fire illusion. I may have replaced that and kept it anyway but then the fan stopped. I returned it after calling them on the 20th day. They did give my money back, but it was applied to my credit card so I had to watch my account carefully until it showed the credit back. Would have been simple to return it to Walmart.

Plus, that fabulous Amish carpentry ended up being pressed, laminated wood. UgH! I'll never buy another one.

Brandon, it may be best if you can check with someone you actually know has one of these and examine the product for yourself. As you can see, opinions posted here will vary greatly.

Good luck.

used it for like 4 months then put it up untill the next winter and when we got it back out to use it would heat for 5 minutes then shut off. Then u had to unplug it then plug back up and it would shut off again. so we sent it back while still under warranty and the refurbished one we got did the same thing. so we sent it back and got another one and lo and behold it didnt work either. long story short its in the dump now

They have a rating of "F" with the better business bureau.

I wouldn't give 50 cent for that junk.

The unit that I have has no wood or composite on it. Mine is a lightweight metal or vinyl, but no wood.
Had mine for 3 years and have used constantly with no problems. It actually is very energy efficient and heats wonderfully.
Would recommend it and would also purchase another one. It is absolutely better than the less expensive electric heaters that can be purchased at WalMart or Lowe's. I have had several different brands and they do not heat evenly - have hot spots - they remind me of the old stoves or fireplace where there is a really hot area and everything else is cold.

that type of heater works well, edenpure is the KIA of Quartz heaters, comfort zone or comfort furnace is a better brand, look for (Phillips) bulbs. and yes it puts out twice the heat of a "walmart" heater. I have both running in my RV now. the Quartz is a lot better.

No, it puts out 1500, the same as all 1500 heaters.

Had one and it worked fine for 4 months. Saved probably about what it cost in propane. Have a wall heater. Then it died and they refused to fix it. Lucky it made it one season I guess.

sorry dick head but I did say I have both type sitting side by side, the quarts puts out more heat. end of story. they may use the same amount of electricity but the quarts is more efficient. and neither one puts out 1500 watts, they both USE 1500 watts. DUUH

Chill. No one insulted you or suggested you were ignorant of wattage use versus output. I have "had" both tpyes. Returned the Eden Pure. It was no where near as warming as the old quartz heaters. Are we agreeing on that or disagreeing? Either way, cool it with the name calling, we're just talking pros and cons for folks who might be deciding which heater to put money into. My input is, the Eden Pure is way over priced in comparison to options I've found just as good or better at local stores.

Peace out

Edenpure is like I said the KIA of QUARTZ heaters,(meaning they are junk) some are good some are bad, but from my experience the QUARTZ heaters do a good job of power consumption vrs output of heat. better than the "Wal-Mart" type or conventional space heaters. sorry to come back so rough. bad day at work turns into bad mood on topix, no excuse, I apologize for my insults.

No apology needed Hollon, I've been there, done that. I think everyone has.

I loved the plain old quartz heaters. They radiate.

We're sure on the same page about the Eden Pure being junk tho'. I didn't have mine in working condition long enough to get an idea of utility comsumption. At least they refunded my credit card account, I'll give them that much.

According to www.consumersearch.com ...

*Best space heater with fan - Lasko 755320 Ceramic Tower Heater -$55

*Best Quiet convection heater - DeLonghi Mica Panel Radiator HHP 1500 -$95

*Best budget radiant space heater - Optimus H-5210 Infrared Quartz Heater -$30

As with all legitimate review sites the Edenpure scores rock bottom in nearly all categories and is considered junk and a total scam at $200 or $400 cost.
