I support this bill but if you think about it the kids are going to loose out I belive if a family member testes postive for drugs that the kids should be removed from the home. Because if the parents don't get welfare what is going to happen to the kids? It is a great idea but they need to come up with what will happen to the ones that can't stand for themselve.

It's set up to give anyone who tests positive a chance to get clean. There are several steps to the process. They aren't just going to cut people off welfare or take their kids for failing one test.

But does that go for food stamps too. Because I know people who don't draw welfare, but they do get food stamps and sell all of them in 2 day's after getting them. Just wondering. They need to do all of them.

I agree on the random testing, but that's the whole point of the matter. Who is going to determine just how random the testing will be, who will evaluate the results, who is going to break the news that the addict is now cut off from welfare, who is going to place their tribe of welfare offspring in foster care...??? Do you see the problem with all this? The US needs to reevaluate and revise the guidelines for the entire welfare system, but at this point in time, is that even going to happen??? NO. Why? Because there is not one single senator, governor, representative, county judge, or otherwise who is going to take a stand against the laziness that our bass-ackward welfare system promotes. And, while we are on the subject, is it still possible to draw a check for offspring diagnosed as having ADD and ADHD? What the hell is that all about??? How about a good stiff switch to the rear end every now and then??? Oh wait, that's child abuse, right? OUR COUNTRY IS HEADED STRAIGHT TO HELL.

Not everyone that gets help from our system is on drugs and doesn't sell them. They are some familys that one spouce or a single parent can not work, you think it is easy to get those things giving to you! Well in some cases; ppl's may lye and that is flat wrong! But n many Caaes the parent or parents one or another are unable to work and are not drawing disablity and some work until kids are of age to go to school. Some ppl's aren't priviagled with a mom or daddy that pays for there cars, houses and anything else they may need, some have no family at all. Yes I do beleive that drug testing should be a part of the system, but who says it will work! I hope it is passed and that way the ppl's that need the help are able to get it! Just because u may know someone who is doing wrong in the system doesn't mean they all are!! If you know someone who does wrong, you need to call the county in which the person receives benifits and report the person or ppl's. Don't go around Bashing Ppl when you haven't done anything to help prevent them from getting the benifits; if they don't truley deserve them! Also, who are you to judge anyone, you are all of a sudden able to put ppl's down, because they don't stand up to your standerds! Oh well, Ppl's will always have something to Bitch about one way or another!I don't know why I waste my time trying to defend someone! Waste of time! Expecially on here! Topixs is a waste of space on the internet! Nobody uses it to help or make things change, just gossip, yeah we need alittle bit more of that in these small hick towns. Like you don't get enough of it! Find something worth a cause and stop bitching about the things ppl's get and you don't! Be happy there is a program out there to help single mothers, fathers and your grandparents. oh yeah forgot, samll hick towns don't need to appericate the things that help our familys so lets try to get there shit taking away~! WHATEVER! I will find something worth talking about, I have wasted to much or/and little of my time posting on this small towns site! C-YA, Glad I anit YA! That there is what you can call Hillbilly Country talk! Peace Out

I support this bill even if I have to pay more taxes for it I see it everyday foodstamps being sold for drugs the kids are not getting what they need from there parents when they sale them .I know there are good parents and seniors that need them if their not doing anything it should not affect them but something has to be done.

Not everyone that is on drugs sell thier foodstamps for drugs. There is really no way to prove that they do without actually catching them. Just because they can't pass a drug test doesn't mean they will sell thier stamps. I think drug testing is NOT a good idea. Children will be the ones to suffer from it. The program is suppose to be designed for poor people. Alot these people barely have transportation to get to the family support office to even sign up for stamps, now the sate wants to send them to another office to be drug tested?? And what about the people that are prescribed narcotics, they will have to also go to the pharmacay to get a copy of thier prescirption. Foodstamps are suppose to help people, not cause them more problems. If someone is selling thier foodstamps for drugs, they are obviously strung out. Dope addiction is a sickness, instead of drug testing someone before you decide to feed them, the state should lower costs on rehabs and medical expenses. Help people get off drugs. Either way they will be out alot of money. If the state can't afford to pay thier employees, I don't understand how they will afford to pay for drug testing. Besides, if a person really wants to, they will find a way to pass the drug test. People will always be frauding in some way!!

Doesn't matter if they are selling their food stamps or not. If they can afford drugs they don't need to be taking my f*cking tax dollars buy food. Put the kids in foster care and let the druggies starve. Everyone would be better off. Why would we let someone who buys drugs instead of food keep the kids anyway is beyond me. The only thing worse then a f*cking pill head is a pill head that is supposed to be a parent. F*cking garbage is what they are and should be treated as such. If drugs are more important to someone than buying food for theirs kids they don't deserve kids.....or air.

I agree with this totally, But they need to look at the BIGGER picture here. If these doctors wasn't givin out these drugs, do you really think we would have this big of a problem. I say let's go after the doctor's that's givin people these drug's. We need a border line on FL.

florida is not the only state where people go to get their pills. and if they passed a law on limiting how many can be prescribed at a time would have a better affect on the flow of pills. say like only a weeks worth of pills. it would make it to costly for them to drive to get them. but yet people who really need them who get them here at home wouldnt mind the inconvince

I understand you 110% That is what the Hitler Quote is all about. His way was to kill anyone who was different. And they did, they killed babies who had down sydrome, they killed babies with cross eyes, they killed the elderly because they took up space and no longr severed a purpose. And, yes they would have killed me too for misspelling words. from reading some of these post.......it scares the hell out of me the way some people think. What has happened to GOD in this great country?
