I just got engaged last weekend. I remember visiting Natural Bridge and Red River George as a child; my fiancÚ and I would love to have our wedding there or around the area. Could anyone suggest any venues or wedding planners in the area? We are also needing lodging, local hotels, I see from local listing there are only a few so I could really use some advice. There are no listings for anything like this in the area. Could anyone suggest a local photographer, wedding cake designer, florists and such? Thanks so much for your help.

Not positive, but I think NB has weddings in the park, call the front desk, I'm sure they can tell you for sure. Vicki Miller and Sonya Curtis are both photographers in the Powell County area and are fantastic--Vicki books quick, so if you choose her, I'd do it soon. Florists should be in the yellow pages, there are several in Stanton and Clay City. I know there are several amateur cake decorators in Powell County. Not sure if anyone does wedding cakes. Good luck with your wedding and congrats!

A friend of mine got married at the Activities Center many years ago and it was nice. NB provided the chairs and set-up the venue although we did the decorating. I would check it out beforehand as it has been a while and may be run down now.

As far as lodging goes, there are few hotels nearby and the Lodge at NB does book up quickly but there are many cabins available for rent in the area in a variety of sizes. If you google "natural bridge cabin rental" several sites will come up for your perusal.

Another consideration is Cliff View Resort. It is near NB and RRG, it very nice out there and they could provide a wedding venue, lodging as well as catering for a reheasal dinner or reception.

Congrats and good luck with all the details, they can be a bugger to sort out!:)

My son just had a wedding at the cliffview inn. very nice. catering was provided by eagle view or ridge 5min from inn. it was fantastic. the inn sleeps 64 and there are 2 cabins very near the property.

Nancy Birch makes beautiful cakes, really good prices too.
If Vickie and Sonya are booked for photographers, you can always check out "The Studio" in Mt. Sterling. They are wonderful!
As far as a florist, Parkway Florist in Clay City is really good.

I married in the gazebo on top of the natural bridge. Road the sky lift in my dress in October. It was beautiful with all the leaves falling.

Torrent Falls is another great venue - we were married there, and we have photographed a couple other weddings there as well.

Check our site for some images from weddings / engagement photos around the rrg, and drop me a line if you have any questions - always glad to help.

MGB, how many people attended your wedding atop Natural Bridge? I was toying with the idea of doing this, though I've never ridden the sky lift. Is it pretty well accessible to older people? Did you rent it out for the event, or just pay per person who rode it? Thanks in advance for the info.

Hey, so I know your original post was over 3 years ago, but I'm researching the topic because I too want to marry on top of natural bridge! I was hoping you could help direct me to the websites and people that can help me, as well as give me any advice you can think of. Does the park charge for use of the gazebo or anything? How did you get all your guests situated?
Thanks!!!

I am getting married April 11 2015 and would love to do it in the Gorge! Im looking at cliffview resort. Was wondering if anyone knew how much the catering would be if I ordered from eagle? Also is the resort itself as nice as it looks on the website? Thanks!
