I am considering voteing for brown but if this is true i won't so someone let me and others know he's running for the highest office in county...So if he was why was it and how did he get his rights back to vote. I wish him well but being a former felon could hurt his chances of winning. So someone post this if u know k. thank you god bless our county officials.

If he is I heard it would be drug related. I know he was in trouble for this several years back however, I do not know if he had felon charges or not. Hope this helps!!

i know mr. brown personally, and he is a good man, and looking back we have all done things in the past and i know i for damn sure have. but you can't hold that to someone if they have changed, he has done good in powell county, and supports alot more within the community. so yea we all do thing, some of us get caught some of us don't. but you can't really hold to some one as long as they have made the effort, and have come out for the better

The key word here is FORMER. Everyone has skeletons in their closet. Most people want to bash people who have had addiction problems, while they sit at home and pop their prescription Xanax and pain pills, but that's OK, or they are totally ignorant to the disease of addiction. I think Delbert serves as an example that addiction has no boundaries, it affects every walk of life, regardless of you economic status. What determines the true measure of a man is not how he gets knocked down, but the fact that he picks himself back up and learns from his mistakes, maybe giving others hope in the process. He has my vote.

So has anyone every figured out what the felony was about?

For the record some of us do not pop any pills and don't have any arrests of any kind in our closets.

Just sayin

We got enough problems in Powell with drugs we don't need one running it. I can hear it now in the courtroom "I sentence you to.....awww forget it I did it too and look at me!" HAHAHAHA

Besides if he is any relation to Vicky Brown he can definitely forget my vote.

I see your point but let's look at this...if I were caught stealing..EVER... I can't get a job in most any retail store or gas station because there is money and merchandise changing hands...if I get caught drunk driving...I can't drive for a while...nor can I get a truck driving job...if I were to molest a child I couldn't get a job at a school....get the picture? I'm glad he has cleaned his life up..I hope. But the fact is, everybody else's skeletons won't go away and neither will his. We don't need that kind of reputation in that seat.Just like any employer would be..if they have the past, whose to say they won't do it again? I'm all about forgiving but we got to draw the line here and think about Powell County.
