Really, really ... to end the drug trade you have to start at the top. The pharmacies and doctors. Remove a small time drug dealer and two will replace him or her.

Remove a big time doctor who fills the scripts and you take out many small time dealers and their middlemen.
This is not rocket science. Going after small time dealers has been proven to be a losing battle. Only way to combat this is to bust the pill pipeline.

Just think about the money that Florida and Tennessee makes off of the state of Kentucky and other states. Do you believe they want the pipeline to be busted??? If so, give it some thought.
Name all the names in the county and those of you who just want to hurt others. It will do not good. Yes, some .. yet few out there do need prescription pain medication. It would cost less to have them tested and pill counted randomly than to keep up with this curse and allow these pill medics to continue their practice.

Torn families, torn children ... are these croctors worth deaths??? Must be ...

It's true we can't stop the problem on here, but if people know who the druggies and thieves are at least we'll know who to watch out for and who to keep our children away from.

Maybe you should go to jail and be fined a Million dollars for eating an icecream cone while walking down the sidewalk, or sodomizing your wife. The only thing you flipping lazy people are doing is creating more chaos. Yes, there is a huge pill problem. The police are right (can't believe I just said that), you should all let them handle it. Everyone that gets on here and runs their mouths aren't helping anything at all. Maybe you should put a big red sticker on your car and tell everyone how you were molested as a child. Until you sick fu*ks realize these addicts need treatment, NOT JAIL, you are going to continue to have this problem in your community. I think you are ridiculous. I think you should have to pay me $50,000 because I was subjected to your ignorance.

I think we should start stealing our stuff back from the druggies and dealers. I mean after all, from what I've seen there's nothing the police can do about theft.

Their are rehab centers that wont charge any thing. They just have to call and ask. Proof I think, that they don't want help.

Yes, there are FREE Rehabs out there. I spent 4 months trying to find one for a friends brother-in law. I spoke to so many that I had to start a "log" so I would know who said what. I was told that they only have so many beds and they are completely full. Some wouldn't even talk to me, just told me they were sorry they couldn't help me right now. Others were full as well and had a waiting list of anywhere from 6-18 months. No joke. I did find one that seemed somewhat promising, they had a waiting list of 12 months but they told me if I called once a week and gave them his name they would move him up on the list. She said this should cut the wait time in half because most of the addicts will not take the time to make that 1 phone call to a rehab each week. I know it seems that they do not want help but the fact is, when they are "high" they feel great and everything is ok. When they go through withdrawals they are too sick to make the calls. If each addict had at least 1 person they could count on to make that phone call for them, THAT my friend would make a significant impact. They need family and friends (if they have any left willing), to help them. They cannot do it alone. They are suffering from a disease called Addiction. We don't make our family and friends suffer from other diseases alone, why should addicts be treated so terribly? I know the things they do can make you want to hate them, trust me I do know. I'm not saying we should baby them or let them even get away with stealing our things, just that they need someone to give a crap about them and their addiction. Our towns are full of pill heads, pushers, and thieves. The jails are a revolving door for them. The minute they get out they are right back doing the same thing. If our government would allocate funding for more affordable and accessable (sp?) rehabs then we could slowly but surely get our communities back and our loved ones back. I bet just about everyone on here knows someone affected by pills. I'd also bet 85% of the ones affected were at one time decent people, had jobs, loved their family, obeyed the law, etc...but as soon as the pills took hold, they only have memories of a once happy life. They can have that life back. But they will need support, not people running their names in the dirt, and crushing their already low self-esteem. They may act like it doesn't bother them, but people, WORDS hurt.

The rehab centers expect the person needing help to do the calling. Otherwise they think they don't want the help. So they save the beds for the ones that call themselves. U see I have been their and done that too. I finally had to realize the person I was trying to help didn't want the help. Trying to help this person almost ruined me. They drag u down with them. By the time I was done trying to help I was the one that needed the help. I was drained dry. So please be careful of what u ask people to do.

If the person on drugs don't want help them forcing them into rehab or anything wont work. My cousin was on pills for alittle while and no matter what we did to help her she just didnt want help. Finally after seeing what it was doing to her children and coming to realization that if she DIDNT change her ways she was going to end up in a grave she went and got into treatment and has been for over a year.
She will admit to you that even if it seemed selfish, her children werent even enough to make her stop using drugs she was that addicted. Its a sad situation for anyone who is that addicted to any type of drugs. I am just thankful that my cousin got the HELP that she needed and is now a much happier healthier person for not only herself but her children.

Cookie I think you have blinders on your eyes. Dennis hasn't changed at all. I've seen him off and on for the last 3 weeks at McKinney's and he didn't even know he was in the world.

(If our government would allocate funding for more affordable and accessable (sp?) rehabs then we could slowly but surely get our communities back and our loved ones back.)

Government?! Our government is TRILLIONS of dollars in debt and borrowing money from China just to stay afloat. You're country is about to crash and when the government checks stop there will be hell to pay. There is soon comming a time when everyone will have to be responsible for themselves for there won't be a government check.

I would have to agree! That is a wonderful idea!PPL take adavantage of pain medications and than when ppl who are sick and need them to get over there sickness they cant get the medication that they need!because of all the drug abusers!!I am so sick of drug abuse its sick and cost everyone else more PROBLEMS!Let's not forget about the children that are caught up into all of the DRUG ABUSE CASES!That do with out because there parent or parents take what money and food stamps that the goverment gives them(TAX PAYERS MONEY)and goes and buys drugs!Instead of food and taking care of there family(CHILDREN)!What a shame that the world has become! That drugs take over and PPL let it!My god ppl do you know what you are doing to your health and to your family?!!Someone that use to live in powell co. many yrs ago!!
