On Easter Sunday, late afternoon I stopped in to purchase a couple of things that I had forgotten when I got my groceries earlier. I live in another county and was just passing through. I was being checked out by a young lady, who did not say, hello, how are you, nothing. When she added up my items, she did not tell me how much they cost, she simply turned the monitor around so I could see the price. I also might add she did not make eye contact, she looked at the people behind me. Now,if she was not able to speak,I would be more understanding but what happened to being friendly? This has been on my mind since this happened, that's why i'm just now posting this. If she doesn't have a disability, she can count herself lucky that I was in a good mood that day and it being Easter. I would have told her how rude and unfriendly she was and may have even reported it to the manager. Wonder how she treats people she knows?

This happens all the time in Kroger mainly at night I usually end up bagging my own items while five people sit and watch me. It has gotten a bit better but still it is shameful.

They refuse to hire anyone and obviously they need the help! Ive tried getting a job there numerous times and have had several reccomendations from people who are currently employed.. but no.. they insist on hiring snobby high schoolers.

That's the one. Do the managers even care how they treat people? If she was a high schooler she wasn't very smart in thinking that people that shop there help pay her wages.

I know the managers at this store and they would not get on a forum like this and talk the way you do. But the lady is right. I trade at save a lot or dollar general. At least they are friendly. If I just need a few items i go to the dollar store and if I need meat and more frozen foods I go to save a lot.

This is exactly the kind of behavior i'm talking about. You just described your job duties and not smart enough to know it. If you really do the customers this way, one of them may just grab you up by the shirt collar and put a bag over your head and say you have been bagged! Remember what goes around, comes around.

Did they seriously just say don't take your kids to Kroger. If you and your cousin pam hate it so much quit then. How do you think we as the customers feel having to deal with rude employees.
