Wow, LMSA is a good start, for those kids that like the sport and signature is good for those that want to experience harder competition, allstar style. Club is a whole new realm, with state cup coming up There are over 120 teams per age bracket, and that is not even all the club teams. Think about it, it takes research and trust to find the right team, trainer and coach, so go to a couple club tournaments watch how the coaches coach, find out after you see a team you are interested in and go watch a practice, see how the trainer works, then see how much it is and if you can afford it.
Simple, not all club teams are money hungry dictators, as some who post on here make it out to be, every club has bad coaches and trainers, but there are trainers out there that will greatly improve your child's skills.
LMSA is the same way, good technical trainers, some have come a long way with coaching techniques too. Some of your board members are great coaches and good trainers, not to knock them, but they are not the best available, but are what makes LMSA a great rec and signature club. Because they are volunteers. They give and only expect to see the children improve, that is there payment. But you can find those trainers in club too, just have to pay them.
Good luck to all the LMSA teams in state cup this weekend!!!

XplosionSC has its web. xplosionsc.com . You may recognize some of the players that had moved up to Club. They are near Pioneer Stadium
Any plans for Xplosion to head over to SCDSL? If not, why not? Everyone on here says your a small fish in a big pond, so make the move, play against the best. Then your club may get more publicity in a positive manner.(Unless the teams end up with bad records).

Hey, don't knock Xplosion. For a little club they are doing quite well in CSL in the Bronze, Silver and Silver Elite programs.

Obviously they have a way to go as a club but its a good start. They have only been here 3 or 4 years now.

Given time and the Mom/Dad coaches don't leave when their kid gets recruited by a big club, they should be quite a force. Especially in the Boy's Divisions.

State Cup this weekend in San Diego.
BU12 Flight 2 Strikers (aka SC Revolution) begin their quest for the title.

Several ex-LMSAers on the roster. Take a day trip down to watch, if you want to see some well-trained teams & quality play.

congrats to GU9-11 for advancing.
BU12 also advanced! Way to represent La Mirada! Keep it up.
I think GU9 has a good chance to go deep. They beat Blues team yesterday.

Also GU11 is solid.

Why would I talk about strikers? La Mirada GU11 > Whittier Strikers GU11... Enough said.

That's fact talk. Look up the records. Can't question the championship that Tim won, the 2 goals (i could be wrong about the # of goals) they gave up all year (league play) the shutouts... I heard several of the players that bought into leaving to become better players are now returning to the rec league. One even stated he wish he never went. That's telling... I call it facts, not trash talk.

That said.. Good luck to the LMSA teams this weekend that made it to round 2 of state cup. If a few can reach the 3rd round, that would be a great success. Proving signature soccer in La Mirada is doing great! Tim, Aaron, Ruben, Bobby.. Coach em up!

Signature gets watered down after age 10, all the best players leave to club, JUSA, has chelsea, Brea, Fullerton, canyon PSA, tustin sc, 10 soccer club.
OJSC has OC Premiere, Strikers Irvine and tustin.
Several of the programs LMSA plays against have premiere clubs that pull the best, let's not go there, please.
Tim does a great job with what he has, but comparing signature to club is not the same.
Records are only as good as the teams you play. Competition is what makes a team better, not goals.
Yes good luck to LMSA.
As a reminder nicsdad posted a striker post, then someone posted after him not mentioning LMSA, and looked like they were stating strikers were doing well.
Then you posted a rude comment and here we are..read the damn post, before you slam people.

GU11 Whittier Strikers (aka SC Revolution) advanced to the sweet 16.
Darn good team, played great against a good opponent. Has a chance to go deep with a little luck.

LMSA GU11 lost in a close one.
The Strikers are the girls who left because of differences with the LMSA Board. Imagine how good our LMSA team would be if LMSA Board learned that finding ways to serve ALL our kids is the best way to serve our kids.

LMSA BU12 is the only one to advance.
Others played hard but lost.

Good luck BU12, one more win and you make it to the Qtr Finals.

But regardless, you did well to get this far.

we all should be proud of sll the kids that live in La Mirada reguardless of which program they play for
remember they had a choice and decided to go somewhere else because they didn't like the rules

What choice? Only 2-3 of them join the Sig team already there? Or play rec? Or leave as a team and play higher caliber teams?
Please explain what choice that team had, that would have benefited all the girls?
