i would just like to take a minute to thank the stanhope dpw for there great job today dealing with that crazy storm.i was a little upset tho when i saw stanhope cleaning up alot of debris on furnace street that came from netcong.i watched netcong dpw make a crummy attempt at cleaning up a bunch of garbage and asphalt that had basically blocked the road at the bridge on furnace st.as soon as they saw the cavalry (stanhope dpw) appear they left!they took there backhoe and left these two guys from stanhope to clean everything up!thank you stanhope.this is the reason they need to merge so stanhope can finish the jobs and get stuff done!!
Please

Troublemaker!!! You don't know WTF you are talking about. If you don't know all the details, please keep your comments to yourself. Shame on you for putting down Netcong DPW. They are hardworking, dedicated employees. A great bunch of guys. You have no clue or class!!!

Maybe there was an emergency somewhere else and they had to leave. Maybe they went back at a later time to help. I doubt very much they would do something mean and deliberate. It was a crazy morning. Flooding and debris everywhere. Do you know what was said between the workers? Do you know all the Facts? Know your facts first before you write.

Netcong DPW did respond and cleaned up the mess that was on the netcong side. They also notified Stanhope DPW that there was a mess on the stanhope side..
Please get your stories right before you come and post on here! Also do you take time out to thank the DPW when they plow our streets all night so we can get to work and take our children to school? Do you thank them when they are fixing water pipes in front of your house because you have no water? Please give credit where it is due! I was there. True Story! Stories like this make our little town look bad and its very sad.

To FYI Netcong did respond to clean up there side and the black top that landed in Stanhope was from Netcong side, and Stanhope sent two of there guys to help Netcong clean up on both ends. But the netcong guys left as soon as there area was clean. The Stanhope DPW should had pick up the blacktop from Netcong(which they did)and drove a few feet into Netcong and dump it back in there town!

It's actually getting pathetic reading all the negative comments about Netcong. If you hate Netcong so much, do us all a favor, and move to another town. I grew up in this town, and instead of complaining on topix---- DO SOMETHING. Volunteer in the town. If something needs to be fixed, DO something to fix it- instead of complaining on your computer. If people would actually volunteer to change what is wrong, I'm pretty sure there would be less to complain about. It's funny that people sit there and talk all this crap about what is wrong with Netcong, but, do absolutely NOTHING to remedy it. Wake up people. Problems never fix themselves. Somebody actually has to get involved.

I know one way to solve this problem, let Byram take over both the Stanhope DPW and the Netcong DPW.Byrams crew would show both of those's DPW how to do a job and do it right the first time!

Hey yankee 227, I like what your saying, your saying if we get enough volunteers, we can run the Netcong DPW and do a better job then the guys being paid. I do believe that is a very good solution yankee227.

"Don" "little bighorn" Bashing hard working people. Especially, in these times when there are cutbacks, etc. You feel powerful on here? Your balls feel bigger when you bash on here? You don't have the balls to say this to anyones face. BALL-LESS coward. If you have kids, I truly feel badly for them. What a terrible person/parent you must be. Miserable excuse for a human being. People like you are whats wrong with the world today. Crude, rude and no compassion!!! Oh yeah, one last thing.....Karma Baby, she's coming for YOU!!!

Hey I been hearing, that Netcong is looking into merging with Roxbury, and Stanhope beware, they joined the Hopatcong courts, if that works out good I bet they try and do the same with other depts.
