I do not think that because we have had fearmongering before about the year 2000 and all of that. I am a Christian and the bible says no one will know the exact date. But you know what? If it does happen, it could fulfill many parts of Revelation of the Bowl and Trumpet judgements. Read them and tell me what you think.

I am a christian also. No one knows, only God. But signs are showing it is very close...The planets will all align in 2012. Scientist are not sure how the gravitational pull of all wil affect us. Guess we'll have to wait and see..6854

i have found some articals that show in 2012 the earth will stop spining as all the planets align, if this happens everything on the surfaces of earth will be slung into the aotmasphere. the earth rotates at about 1100 miles per hour, for example take a car traveling about 100 miles per hour slam on hour brakes come to a dead stop everyone in that car still moves forward.

That's what I don't get about religious folk. You say, it says in the bible that no one will know the exact date, but then you go on to say if it happens, more from the bible will come true. That doesn't sound right to me.

If it happens, the bible is right.
If it doesn't happen, the bible is right.

Also in 2012 the Mayan calendar ends. There is also talk about a planet colliding with us (Nibiru or Planet X). You can google it and find alot of info on it.
But as for religious debates... "The Bible" was wrote by man. Later King James translated it into the King James Version of the bible. Their he would pick and choose what went in it. The Bible is a good book to read, as it has good stories and examples of how you can better your life. It is however Not fact.
If Christianity was THE TRUE religion, their would be no other religions... no need for them. But other religions aside.. Even "The True" religion of Christianity is divided. In theory all Christian churches would teach the same message, but that isn't true. Each church has different rules.. different ways to do things. All dictated by man. If Jesus and God are real, and they are as loving as the bible say they are. Then why would they condemn you to a fiery eternity in hell? I prefer to life my life how i want. Life is way to short to be chained down by "religion".

you just need to get things straight okay, 1st of all Jesus and God are real and the are even more loving than anything there is in the whole world... they don't condemn you to hell you do by doing wrong thing and not accepting him as you lord and savior so don't talk about stuff if you don't even know what you are even talking about!
