Ok, I currently 17,(turning 18 soon) and I still only have my Learning Permit for Driving. When I'm 18, is it possible for me to go on and take my driver's test for my full, unrestricted license without having an intermediate license, and 60 hours of practice driving beforehand? Thanks :)

I believe your still Supposed to have proof of the 60 hours you drove but you do skip the intermediate license. I did the same thing when I got mine. I had proof of the hours I drove but they didn't even look at it. So I would just make up something and have your parents sign it.

yes you can get your unrestricted license. My daughter did just that yesterday. They just required the 4 hour class proof of insurance and a licensed driver over 21 with her.

It may have changed since I was a youngin. I got my permit at 18 and still had to wait the 6 months before I got my license.

i don't think you will need your intermediate when you are over 18, you hold your permit for 180 days , then you can go get your license. that easy. even thought ive been told but kids younger me they you HAVE to have your intermediate . but im sure you can just go get your license. of course i still have my permit. so i dont really know... i was looking around trying to find tha same answer, lol.

Even know he is homeschooled he can still get his permit. To get a permit you have to have a "no pass, no drive" form if under 18. Go to the local board of education and ask the front desk & explain your situation. After proof of homeschool and other info, Head of pupil personal will fill out & sign the form. If located in stanford, Bruce Smith would be the one to sign. After you have this form, social security card, birth certificate & a parent to sign. He should be elgible to take the permit test.

If your over 18 your most certainly dont have to have an intermediate licesece. You go straight to an unrestricted. Me and a friend went yeterday and i had to get my intermediates but she didnt because she was over 18. And if your home schooled as long as you have the proof you can get it all cause a close riend of mine had their full licese by the time they were 17 and they had been homeschooled sence 3rd grade.
