They don't have a clue what they are talking about! 99% of LC is getting free lunch for their kids and want to bitch and complain about a cook getting 1 little meal a day ( if they do)...yall need to grow up and leave the cooks be, they work hard and are way under paid. They catch the complaining end of everything regardless what they do!

well lets see
first of all they are talking about if the lunch charges are high then they will get a sack sandwich or something
but what about all the food that is cooked and throwed down the garbage disposal or what about the food that the cooks take home when they leave at the end of the day and then they want to make some little kid eat a sandwich so that is more for them
some one needs to sit outside the schools when the cooks leave and just see what they are taking home
or the food that gets throwed away
i mean there is some reason they are carry boxes home and garbage bags
ok first of all i am a school cook and if we have any food left we are not aloud to bring it home and second do you really think we are the ones who made the decision about the sack lunch for kids with over 20.00 worth of charges ? it came from higher up and i bet no one hates it more than we do.and about your comment {giving them a sandwich and having more for ourself }you are full of crap!!!! you dont even know us and if you want to do something about it go to the board meeting and try to get something done instead of running your mouth.

Woman denies involvement in Lincoln horse saddle caper

STANFORD — Patsy Phillips of Stanford has denied any involvement with receiving four stolen horse saddles valued at $1,000 taken from a farm residence in Lincoln County over the weekend.

Phillips, 45, who was arrested and charged Saturday by Lincoln County Chief Deputy Sheriff Don Gilliam with receiving stolen property over $300, tampering with physical evidence, and second-degree criminal mischief, made her denial in an interview today with The Advocate-Messenger.

Also arrested on the same three charges were Ronnie Caudill, 20, and Chad Stevens, 19, also of Stanford.

According to Gilliam, a witness had observed people loading four saddles into a car outside the residence of Bobby Hale in the Neal’s Creek community. A story about the case in Tuesday’s paper incorrectly said the residence was on Skyline Drive.

Two of the saddles belong to Hale and the other two are owned by Ellis Whitis, Gilliam said. The saddles had been kept in a barn on the property but the witness who had observed them being loaded into a car did not see them being taken from the barn, he said.

A second witness later observed saddles being discarded from a car being driven on Ky. 698, Gilliam said. Gilliam eventually stopped the car on Ky. 698. The 2001 Impala matched the description of the vehicle into the which the saddles were loaded and from which the saddles were discarded. He arrested its driver, Phillips, and her two passengers, Caudill and Stevens, on the receiving stolen property, evidence tampering and criminal mischief charges.

Gilliam said today that he stopped the Impala on Ky. 698 after it had been chased down Skyline Drive by the second witness. He said the chase apparently began after a “confrontation” at a residence on Skylne Drive between the second witness and Phillips.

Phillips said today she was at a residence on Skyline Drive when a man she didn’t know came to the house and demanded that she, Caudill and Stevens return some stolen horse saddles. She said she told him she didn’t know anything about the saddles.

Phillips said she decided to get to the bottom of the matter. She said she told Caudill and Stevens to get in her car, and she said she headed to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. She said the person who had confronted her at the Skyline Drive residence began chasing her. in his vehicle.

“I had absolutely nothing to do with stealing those saddles or putting them in my car,” Phillips said.“I just ended up in the middle of something I had nothing to do with.”

Phillips was released from the Lincoln County Regional Jail over the weekend after posting a $250 bond. Caudill and Stevens remained this morning in the jail under bonds of $5,000 and $250, respectively, he said.

to my knowledge none of the employees (unless it is the lunch room employees) eat for free. All employees pay full employee price which is higher than full student price, but its still cheaper than a fast food meal and its nutritious, and most of the time (98% of the time) it's a good tasting meal.

My two cents on the lunch room charges....
A person getting free lunch will always get to eat

A person on reduced lunch can charge 10 weeks worth of lunch before being given alternate lunch

A person on full price lunch can charge 11 times before they are given alternate lunch.

So, people who's parents don't work....no problem.
People who's parents work hard....might get into a brief hard spot due to the economy....can't even go really 1 full pay period without losing out. Doesn't seem right....

It seems like the working people always get hid hardest and the moochers always smell like a rose. I mean, the one's who pay full price had their amount go up this year....the reduced and free stayed the same.

I usually pack my kid's lunches. What they get at school is not worth $1.75. Especially when they don't have to get all that is on the menu. One time my son got chicken strips (2) a slice of bread and milk and had to pay $1.75!!! The menus in Lincoln Co. and the whole lunch system is a big joke!
