I'm sure they did...it looks like you guys have it all together...what have you got now about 15 active members? The fire department is typical of everything else in Stanford subpar and unprofessional.

so why "yea right" do you think they deserved it, why does someone who puts their life on the line for total strangers deserve to be done that way. Maybe you opinion is only based on a one sided story and not the whole truth. Thats how most comments are made, on one sided storys. Maybe if people had the whole story they would have a different opinion. And i would speculate that the whole story isn't finished being written yet.

No one ever answered what really happened. Like I said, the rumor I heard is that they were dealing drugs out of the fire department. We don't need that crap in our city!

All I can say is it is a good thing that Engine One bailed the city's butt out Saturday night. The city only had a hand full of guys there. This is a big problem. What would have happened if Engine One was out on a run? Plus it was nice to see our city fire chief show up hours after the fire was over. I guess it is a long drive from Perryville. I think it is a shame that we pay taxes in the city and we have to rely on the county fire department for fire coverage. I think the Mayor needs to get his head out of McDaniel's butt and fix the problem. McDaniel's and Junior are the root of all the fire department's problems and they need to go. Until then I guess Engine One will keep fighting the city's fires and Stanford Fire Department can hold our jocks.

The Chief Don't live in the city or even the county? That should concern all taxpayers.

the whole story will soon be released for the public, but i can promise all that there were NO DRUGS being sold from the fire station by the individuals who were let go, nor was ther any other illegial actions being preformed by the men who got let go. The worst thing they did was start letting the truth out and everyone knows that this town can't handle or stand the truth.
guess what i saw

i saw one of the guys who were let go and i assumed his lawer going into the courthouse annex today and then the fire chief and the mayor was going in with what appeared to be their lawer. I thought the word was that the lawsuit was over. Why then were lawyers and the fire chief, the mayor, and one of the men who got let go going into the courthouse annex. Doesn't sound like to me that the lawsuit if over with.

I haven't a clue of what is going on at the city dept. But, I know those guys at Engine One work hard to cover anyone who needs help. They train hard to teach those guys what to do, and how to do it the safest way possible. I do not know, but I will take a guess that they respond to more calls than any station in the county. We don't need a rivalry between city and county. We all work for a common goal. We are brothers covering each others backs. We fight the "monster" not each other. Whatever problems stanford city is having will have to be resolved between the powers that be. Meanwhile, we need to help each other, keep our integrity, protect our people and properties and our self respect! Oh yes, Thank you to Engine One for your help. You guys are Rockin'!!!!
The Truth

The lawsuit is far from over. Moreover our tax money will have to pay for it. As far as drugs being sold by the guys who were let go that is 100% false. The truth is the city fire department can not get anyone to fight fires. Their roster is depleted and they have lost all their experience. Little Lunsford Junior is positioning to be chief like his dad. He thinks it is his birth right or something. He'll stick one in McDaniel's before it is over. The guys who were let go were the guys who questioned McDaniel's leadership and the safety of the equipment. None of these men have been treated fairly by the city council, the Mayor or the fire chief. The fire chief does not live in the city or even the county. All I can say is I thought a lot more of Tim Estes and Scotty Ernst, if anybody would be fair on the council I figured it would have been those guys. I think they probably have tried to be partial however we have a do nothing mayor who is more concerned about selling houses than handling the city's business and has put the entire council in a position where they can do nothing but wait for the lawsuit to conclude. The truth will come out. It is funny how the city fire chief has tried to cover up the lack of city personnel by saying that he has a mutual aid agreement with the county. Of course he has a mutual aid agreement all emergency departments have a mutual aid agreement if they need help. What our agreement says is that the county will respond when the city is toned out as well as the city because the city does not have enough firemen. Hmmmm....I'm no genius but why would the department go from having plenty of experienced guys to not having any...could it be a lack of leadership. I think the fire chief has what is referred to as little man syndrome...if someone knows more or questions his authority then they have to go. What a moron. McDaniel's has fed a load of crap to the mayor who was misinformed all along and now the city has to flip the bill for this lawsuit. I want to know how much of our tax payer money has gone to the lawsuit. The tax payers need to know that we have lost firemen from the city's department that are officers with Lexington Fire Department, Nicholasville Fire Department, Boyle County EMS, Danville City Fire Department, Jessamine County Fire Department, Boyle County EMS, Jessamine County EMS, etc. These are men who are some of the best firemen in Kentucky who were volunteering their time for our community and were done away with by our fire chief. Some were even police escorted out of meetings and off the fire department grounds. Don't get me wrong but since when does a volunteer department like Stanford not need these experienced firemen. The tax payers need to ask questions. When we have to rely on the county department to put out city fires we have a problem. I'm suprised that Chief McDaniel's would allow some of the guys from Engine One to put out city fires considering a lot of those guys were on Stanford's department until they were either dismissed or voluntarily resigned due to McDaniel. I mean surely these guys aren't qualified to be firemen in the city...or could it be that they wouldn't work under an incompetent chief and a do nothing mayor.
