Stick to one story

gee, I so disagree! The way the story was written showed that to get all that good from the school and the students, a lot of work and trying issues, including budget talks, must also go on. Can't get one without the other. All that "sweet" comes as a result of the "sour," as the letter writer put it. It's worth remembering, when townfolk are at each other's throats over a budget, that the work that goes on after hours is what gives the results during school hours. Sometimes a look behind ALL the doors gives the truest view.

I also disagree. I thought that Sue did a great job balancing her reporting. She put all the positive things on the front page, then on page 5 she contrasted that with the more heavy news. And she ended on a positive note, giving the principal the last word. Frankly, I think she gave principal Choquette much more air time than she deserved. People used to more to VT for the school, but that's not rue anymore. We still have wonderful kids we can be proud of, but there are real problems with the school and we can't sugar coat the facts or hide our heads in the sand. Kudos to Sue Bush for her thorough and investigative reporting! Maybe with this new found exposure this town can see a change!
