Wow, I feel like I am back in high school! No wait, this is definitely worse.

While clearly not perfect, Beth is certainly intelligent. She has many strengths that will take her far in life. Unfortunately, her personal life has morphed into something all its own. Get over it people! If each of us worried more about our own families and spent less time fixated on someone else, this world would be a better place.

While I don't feel like Mrs. Choquette has been an affective leader here, it certainly has nothing to do with her personal life. Unlike so many that have taken the time out of their day to write hurtful comments, I will not resort to name calling and insults to make a point. It is beyond immature. I, for one, would like to set a positive example for my child. Judge her by the work she has done, fine...but enough with the insults. Is it really all that shocking that a family broke?? I mean really the divorce rate is what?? She has done an admirable job helping her children adjust, which is more than I can say for a lot of families that find themselves in the very same situation.

Please, for the sake of our children, get off your high horses and get back to the real issues at hand. If you have a problem with the work she is doing at the school, address it like an adult; ask for her dismissal. But please, do it with valid reasons in hand, not harsh insults.

P.S. It is utterly amusing that so many demand others to sign their name under their very own disguise.

I spend a lot of time at the Stamford elementary school complex, both as a volunteer and as a user of resources such as the library and town offices. I see Beth, and she's there, but she just doesn't seem fully engaged in the job. Many issues aren't addressed. I agree with those who think it is a small school that might be well served by a part-time, fully-engaged principal.

Guess what we are going to get our way, half time principal. See how things work out when you lie and cheat. Talk about anonymous negativity, sign your name coward!! Throwing stones, read your fourth sentence. Cmon, think about what "you" are saying.
Posters should really be aware that posts like these could be construed as THREATS and certainly not something that people with integrity would post. Principal Choquette has not lied or cheated. This is libel. Oh, and I guess you didn't get your way. Cooler heads prevailed. Thank God the school board thought about the children.

To the townees who do not realize that Beth Choquette is doing a great job: Go to the school and see for yourselves before you comment on her work. I have worked with Beth at the Stamford School and I see her as a wonderful leader. That she wants to better herself as a leader is proof that she is good at her job. If she merely wanted to tow the line she would not be tackling such a hefty course like the one at Harvard University. As residents, we should be paying her course fees. This is what a town does to help shape our principal.

You would think that adults would be above this kind of stuff, but ... Stamford is a town with many 'cliques' among those who run the town - you're in the clique or you're not. Anything having to do with the school is cut and dry before any vote is ever taken. I'll be moving back to MA eventually to escape the high taxes due to the school. The only thing i'll miss is the peace and quiet (not hearing constant sirens)!
