Glad to see that the attorney is not just doing DUIs anymore. Do you think his clients pay him in cash, or in bartered services?

The SPD must be looking for contributions to their end of year party.
These spas are whorehouses.Everyone knows it.So shut them down already!
The inability of the SPD to close down this kind of enterprise speaks volumes.

Or, possibly, Attorney Katz? He said it is "immaterial" to the case what services these establishments provide, but isn't that the crux of the whole thing? The "services" they provide aren't of the legitimate massage kind, but perhaps of the illegitimate kind?

Check out Happy Endings? a documentary film on Asian massage parlors in Rhode Island where prostitution is legal.

We followed the women who work in the spa as the legislators tried to make prostitution illegal in RI.

What right do you or government have to interject your morals on two people in a contractual relationship?

No it's not. The city closed them down by saying they were offering massage therapy without a license, yet the were never caught providing those services and the owners claim they don't provide massage therapy.

It's no different then the health department closing down a place for selling food without a license because it has a kitchen and tables and chairs but never seeing them actually serve any food.

whether or not it is just a misdermean, it is against the law, its illegal, so how could one operate a facility doing something illegal??? come on now, we all know what these spa's are doing, its been going on for years, the police make a bust once in a blue moon, than they are right back at it again, ITS ILLEGAL BOTTOM LINE, its no different than a drug dealer opening up a store front!!!!!!!!, and know the people of stamford who pay high taxes, we do not want this filth in our town, and..let me add...how many of these prostitutes (because that is what they are), are illegal citizens on top of it?, its a cash business mainly, so think of the tax's they are not paying, but we go to work, and we pay our taxes, its all illegal!!, and disgusting, i hope mr conklin, can get a grip on thi sone, and have them finially removed from stamford..

Why do you want to use violent men with guns that work for the state to stop a contract between 2 private people?

It is one of the many industries that Connecticut is home to.
Drugs.
Prostitution.
Gambling.
Graft/corruption in politics and government.
That about cover it.
A little tourism.Some tobacco growers.
Mostly just prostitution and drugs in Connecticut.
