Dont be suing the state here....the owner yes, but in the end you didnt have to put yourself in the position where you were trying to heard the animal around, thats when you call animal control/police. What happened is so horrible, but you also put yourself in a horrible position...and knew what the animal was able to do. Still very very sad

Big hugs for her .I hopes that the best can come forward to help her with ANY technology available on this planet. Money should not be an object, and not one dime out of her pocket. Please all you bright people that can help her, please come forward, step up. God bless this brave woman. I love animals, and would like to work with animals, but I know there is lines that have to be drawn in the sand. Sure I would like to have a large panther of my own,but is not something that can be totally controlled because they are big, strong, and wild...God Bless You Charla..There will be plenty of Prayers for you.. =(^-^)= Kathy

Do you ever forget to breathe?

She obviously suffered great pain and suffering, not to mention financial hardship due to the attack. She deserves a financial award for what happened to her. She will have huge medical bills for the rest of her life. Anger or any other emotion has nothing to do with it. Don't forget to inhale and exhale several times each minute throughout the day and night!

I assume you're very young or you wouldn't ask such a silly question. When someone is as horribly injured such as this poor woman is, anger would be the farthest thing from someone's mind. All of her energy is being spent just trying to recover. She probably didn't like having to sue, and in fact might have said that she doesn't want to sue, but she has unbelievably huge medical expenses. There is no room to worry about a friend's feelings when you need medical care. Without her hands and eyes, she is very likely going to need in-home care or even need to stay at a medical facility for the rest of her life. I greatly doubt she has any revenge on her mind when she faces all of this. Did you think she was going to party it up or something upon winning any kind of settlement? Her quality of life is likely zero right now. Just remember, no hands and no eyes and no face. I think the very least she is entitled to is her medical care. I doubt she will get any enjoyment out of it at all.

The last I heard, Cleveland Clinic isn't cheap. The woman needed (and still needs)state-of-the-art help. This probably isn't the place to do it but I must question the woman's sanity because:
1. She remained friends with the chimp-owner and continued going over, even after having seen the chimp throw around 50lb barrels and ...
2. She appeared on Oprah.

What about the guy whose testicles were ripped out by a chimpanzee?

When will he appear on Oprah to show his recovery, too?

compared to Oprah. Oprah's six best friends better start working out now, that's a heavy load they'll be carrying when her time comes.

This womans spirit is amazing. Little comfort to her that she looks no worse than the Judds did last night on the CMA's.

She appeared on Oprah? That makes her crazy? I don't get your logic.

Chimps should be free, in Africa, in their native habitat.
