Wyatt lives in Shanamara and he voted against it. He wasted 5000 on ordinance writing and voted against it for his community. What a buffon

Wyatt never voted against Shanamara, he voted for common sense and against adding more layers of goverment. He voted down the proposed ordinance but that doesn't mean he voted down the issue. Anyone who is interested in this topic knows it and knows that some candidates are just attempting to spin this issue because they want to get Shanamara residents to vote for a different candidate.

Dunn has a great record in office. He has led two tax decreases, communicates frequently with town residents and has been a voice of reason. Trying to nit pick and create an issue where there isn't one only shows how desparate some are.

CAUTION: People should remember that the postings on this forum are strictly opinion and in many cases contain distored facts. The post above is a great example of that. Go to the town website, the candidates' websites, read the newspapers, and get the real facts for yourself and you can see how distorted and hateful many of the posts truly are.

Also take into consideration the maturity of posts that begin with statements like ".... is an idiot".

Better yet, meet the candidates yourself and make your own judgements.

True. He did vote against a new golf cart ordinance. It is false though to say he "voted against the communities". The vote was not whether or not he liked a specific community, the vote was on a golf cart ordinance prepared by staff.

Unforunately, since Lee Ann is not Councilman Dunn she does not explain why he voted the way he did.

Mayor Pro Tem Dunn welcomes questions and concerns. Give him a call if you are concerned about this issue and find out why he voted the way he did and also how he is still working on this issue.

Dunn's contact information can be found on the town website.

Of course you are also welcome to rely on anonymous postings by "Leanne" who is obviously biased against Dunn to shape your opinions.

It was a unanimous decision. So you might also want to contact the other 5 council members in addition to Dunn for insight into the issue.

Less layers of government what about the ridiculus other ordinances that passed. He did not listen to the citizens and voted against something that they wanted. They pay taxes to have the services of the police, so let them do their job

You are entitled to your opinion. I'm not trying to restrict your opinion. But I'll continue to be here and post to remind others who read this forum that it is just your opinion. All six other council members voted against it.

Perhaps the question that some readers will have after reading some of these posts is "Why the attacks on just one council member and the Mayor when the entire council was united on the issue."
Makes you wonder

You are certainly entitled to your opinion but other readers should consider the following questions.

If "Lesser of all evils who" is so upset about this particular decision why is he/she only concerned with the vote of one council person and the Mayor?

Why was it an unanimous decision?

Why isn't he/she blaming the whole council for "not listening to the citizens."

What does he/she hope to gain by attacking just Dunn and Paxton?

Just questions to consider ....

I read Dunn's response to the community and he is right the first draft was bad legislation and should have been voted down. He has re-written the ordinance to make it simple to enforce and hopefully the other council members will vote for it. Dunn's the only council member to respond, doesn't Graham represent Emerald Lake. Never hear a word from Graham about any issues. Remember the Tasers - if Dunn would not have re-written that policy the Stallings PD would have been able to taser minors, the elderly, the handicapped and pregnant women. Dunn, thanks for caring about our community even though it was a unanimous vote. I never hear a word from the other 5 on Stallings Town Council. Also, aren't we all tired of the negative postings from Ft. Mill under many different names. We never hear a word about what your candidate is doing to help our Town.

Isn't it unusual that all Drake supporters try to run other candidates in the ground but never say anything positive about her. Drake supporters - keep trying to find some mud on Dunn because you won't find any. Honesty and common sense are what makes Dunn great for our community. You better worry about Paxton whipping Drake again.

Just heard about this site bashing candidates and folks need to hear positive news of candidate's actions. Dunn's the only businessman on town council. Graham wanted to give away $14 million to Indian Trail and NC DOT without negotiations. I repeat - GIVE AWAY $14 MILLION. It's unbelievable he would think that unless he had some motive that didn't benefit Stallings. Possibly giving that money away was irresponsible and lacks all business principles. What happens -Stallings (led by Paxton and Dunn) negotiates with NC DOT and get's what it wanted all along - intersection improvements. Outstanding work by Paxton and Dunn. Then Dunn suggests we share in the revenue with Indian Trail on the Chestnut Connnector. That's brilliant and the type of guy looking after my dollars. Quit bashing candidates and let me know what the ones you support are doing. If you can't think of anything then they must be doing nothing which is what most politicians do.

I don't believe the poster in Ft. Mill has actually stated what candidate they support they have instead spent their time personally attacking other candidates. Of course, readers always have the option to sort through things and figure out which candidates may be left.

And all you people that support Paxton talk about others bashing her and her candidates, all you have to do is read the last few post and you can see who is slinging the most POO. Shame on the Paxton supports. shameful, dirty, personal attacks. Read people.

Holding people accountable cuts both ways. So, while the poster above points out some real issues to consider. Implying that Council member Graham personally had a motive in giving the money away could be considered a personal attack.

The poster did refrain from calling names. That's at least an improvement on this board.

The post Ken referred to does indeed attack the Drake camp but attacks the Drake camp for the repeated negative personal attacks. Readers can decide for themselve if that is "slinging poo", "shameful, dirty, personal attacks."

Readers will be unable to find any reference to ignorant, educated, stupid and uninformed. If those are conclusions they draw on their own, that is their own opinion not the opinion of this poster.

Calling someone out on personal attacks is just that --- holding someone responsible.

If this poster and the others who have joined the effort want to highlight and objectively point out the unproductive personal attacks then that is our right as well.

Simple decent behavior has been lacking on this forum and it's about time that people holding other posters accountable. If others consider it demeaning to point out negative personal attacks, then so be it. However, I personally trust that a good portion of the population sees it for what it is.
