Thanks for the information! Can't believe that Lucy Drake and that Barbara Anne woman are actually running for Mayor. What a joke!

Drake, Phillipi and Price = bigger government, higher taxes and chaos.
Paxton = transparency in government and lower taxes.
I think I'll use some common sense and vote for lower taxes & Paxton.

Everyone fully expects this Stallings mayoral race will have absolutely no mud slinging, backstabbing, witch hunting, or personal attacks -- it will be conducted in the highest professional manner and it will strictly focus on the issues facing Stallings' future. "Can't we all just get along?"

OK, great! And good luck... may the best man win!

"may the best man win!"

Good to know that you don't classify male chauvinism as mud slinging, backstabbing, etc.

Easy now Ms. Curious! First, I believe "may the best man win" is a phrase that is universally accepted as colliguial expression and in this context may imply to either sex.

And I could have included "hair-pulling" in the general list of nasty political maneuverings which we are usually accustomed to in Union Co., but obviously that phrase would have eliminated Mr. Phillipi from the debate.

Why are you being insensitive to the ONLY male candidate? I recommend we give ALL the candidates an opportunity to identify their platforms so we can decide who will prove to be the best Mayor for Stallings' future. I would like to know what unique proposals each candidate will bring to the citizens of Stallings which will give us an economical advantage over our neighboring municipalities... as it stands today, there's not much hope on the horizon... If any candidates may read this, we welcome your platforms and vision for the future of Stallings. Let us know, what sets you apart from the pack?

Future at Stake,

Jumping to conclusions to think I'm a "Ms"... but hey I did confuse you with 'noway' who earlier in the thread was already touting Philippi. So I guess fair is fair.

I too am curious to see what ALL the candidates will bring forward not just in terms of promises but also in terms of reality (i.e. can't promise the moon when he/she has failed to deliver that in the past or has no viable plan of deliverig it in the future).

Tell me when this thread is updated:
