How can someone who has lived here for less than 90 days run. He has no clue about the town, never participated in any of the Boards and has no experience whatsoever. I am sure he has good intentions but Mr. Hutton would be a major mistake. He has no clue about Stallings. Lets look at the other 2.

1 Nice that he is eager to get involved but there are other options open that don't involve making decisions for others residents who at least know their way around town. How much did those slick postcards cost? |

Less than 90 days as a resident? Why would someone even want to run for office after such a short time? That's barely enough time to get to know your neighbors let alone find out what is even going on in the town.
Nice that he is eager to get involved but there are other options open that don't involve making decisions for other people who at least know their way around town. You don't have to have lived here for decades but 90 days or less is definitely not what I had in mind. How much did those slick postcards cost? Who is paying for his campaign? |

I have been researching some of the candidates and it looks like it will come down to Frost and Klingler. Not sure why someone would run who has no idea about the town or what has occured here. I am sure he has no idea about the Monroe By pass and the different oprtions. Mr. Klingler appears to have served on several boards such as the planning and Stormwater. I cannot find any info on this Paul Frost guy. There is a woman who has worked for the Town but no man. Can anyone give us info on this guy. Are any candidates affiliated with the current Mayor and her anti polica antics.

I ran into Mr. hutton and his wife the other night walking their dog. Seems like a nice guy however he stated they moved in to their house in late April. He was politicing already kind of annoying, however i would still not vote for him since he has no clue about the Town or all the issues and Drama that have occured since the last major election. Perhaps he should apply to some of the boards before he runs for office. At least then he would have a clue.

At least it appears Hutton owns property in Stallings. Matlock in District 3 has lived here approximately 8 months and hasn't bought a home.

1 You would think desparate candidates would try some fresh fantasies and accusations instead of sticking with ones that didn't work last time around. Even if they do... they only make themselves look foolish and make our town look like a joke. Paxton has been a refreshing change for our town. |

Where is District 3? Who is this Matlock person running against?

I would be much more concerned and alarmed if a candidate was supported by some of our current council members or the former mayor -- that would only ensure that the drama and antics would continue to make our town a joke.
Would be nice to actually get more level headed professionals who care more about their duty to the citizens than their own political glory. |

But thank goodness district 6 won't go to Barbara Anne Price!

Maybe you should research your candidates before you start talking about them Something New???
I read the Annoyed Neighbor and realize that he or she should find out who is on committees before the wrong statement is made... to late for Annoyed Neighbor!! |

To whom it may concern. Stallings has long been a drive through town. With many things coming, such as the bypass it is time to look long and hard about who is best for this town. Whom do we want for a mayor, someone who is not going to help lower taxes by being antibusinesss and not increasing the Commercial tax base. Lynda has proven to us all that she is against business. She has consistantly put her own views before the town. Is this what we should expect when all her cronies are voted in as well. No Stallings needs a change. In district 2, you have Jerry Nolan, lived here many years and has provided many good directions for the Town. In district 6 you have two non-paxton cronies who have individual ideas-Hutton and Klinger. But come on, Hutton has been here 2 months and do we really want a career politician on our Town Council. We already have one barbra Anne, we do not need another. Wyatts a good guy and hopefully with barbara anne being gone he can break away and vote for what his constiuents really want. Its time to take a look at aNew Stallings, One that doesn't have cronies, good old boys or Career politicians in it. Stallings needs real people who will represent the people.

I have seen several articles and wriitngs about the Stallings newbie who has been here less than 90 days. Mr. Hutton appears to be a career politician. Is this what we want in Stallings. He needs to take is bags and head back to mecklenburg. We have already dealt with one Barbra Anne Price for the last 4 years. Do we need another self loathing, personal agenda career politician using Stallings as his bottom step to self promote his personal political goals-NO!!! Mr. Hutton please do us a favor and save your yankee agenda for mecklenburg county. We like real people here who will work for the town and not self promote their personal agendas.

Why would huttonrun for office? They have no real stake in how we got here or our outcome. If they've moved around, they probably won't stay here, but the decisions last a long time.
Give me a break. Transplants? They usually uproot and plant themselves somewhere else in due time. Look at former council members that became integrated within the community, got elected and resigned, leaving the town. HUTTON has no business running for Council. The only thing he has is his personal agenda. Another soap box politician out for their own good!!! |

1 This will be a divided election of who wants the best for Stallings citizens or who can tell the biggest tales. It has been established that Paxton will lie into the record. I rest my case. |

1 Paxton and Price both are tearing up the downtown areas along with Dunn and Hartis. Letting Paxton break the tie on the Chestnut Lane corridor was stupid. She doesn't know how to think through obviously on her votes. Every business on Highway 74 will be gone and every business on Stallings Road. Taxes high now? You ain't seen nothing yet if either of those two continue their own personal agendas! |
