Brian Matthews is an egotistical moron, along with Stokes, Esarove, Steele and Weber, who opted to ignore legal advice and grant this clown a 5 year contract, along with a one year severence, and money for his family to travel with him on business. Are the complaints that Chief Dummett is a professional who refuses to play political games?

Interesting Stokes and Esarove accuse Mayor Paxton of keeping Stallings in the media in a negative light, now they have done it indirectly.....don't give power to Morons...

Brian Matthews was sweating blood until the Nov. council election, until Weber and Steele won on a Pro-Police propaganda platform. Once these two were in office his contract became the next item of business. As expected, Weber and Steele rubber stamp anything Stokes and Esarove tell them to do, and a sweetheart deal for Brian was approved. Next item on the agenda is to crucify the police chief and put one of their cronies in as chief. None of the council members has indicated that they knew anything about the administrative leave. You can bet four of the council members, who voterd in favor of the 5 year contract, know exactly what is going on. End result- if things aren't settled amicably, an expensive lawsuit will be filed, costing taxpayers through the nose for someone's error in judgment, who thinks he can't be fired.

I that is the case, why is it not being investiated by an independent, outside professional?

Where are all of the "save the PD" people now? An investigation into the department, not the chief, is in order. Brian Matthews put my safety in jeopardy!

It is beinging investiated by an independent outside agency, wake up and don't be so in the dark about something that you know nothing about. Why don't you ask the Mayor.

You obviously do not have any idea what kind of courage it takes for a law enforcement officer to come forward with any type of complaint about upper command. The officers that have complained about any problems within the department have put their careers on the line. One could only hope that some of the officers of the City of Monroe Police Department would have the same courage and come forward to expose the wrong doings of Debra Duncan. But it's coming.

I have noticed that since the chief has been on leave that once again we are seeing 2-3 officers congregating at Gate, McDonalds and the Divide parking lot.
