YourNeighbor@notalibtard- it is folks like you that shouldn't own guns. Tell me how your guns will face up against the US Military weapons - that would be fun to see! Especially with your ignorance.

Hate to disappoint you but the majority of ex and current military guys I know also own personal weapons. A lot of them are Glocks and AR-15s. I do not personally know any that are in favor of disarming law abiding citizens.
This was a terrible tragedy perpetrated by a person that should not have had access to anything sharper than a crayon, much less a gun. I am sure everyone agrees about the need to keep any weapons out of the hands of people like this. But you really need to cut back on the vitriol, your comment that it would be fun to see people shot is totally out of line. You sound like the kind of person that has absolutely no business with a firearm.

Sorry to say, but with new, highly restrictive legislation a certainty, that tricked out AR in your safe or buried in your back yard, and that nice AK you picked up off the books at a gun show are simply going to make you a criminal when you refuse to voluntarily turn them in, and deny that you have any "illegal military style weapons" when the new ATF form arrives in the mail - followed soon after by the ATF inspectors. It's going to happen very, very soon. I don't know the answer, but it's coming folks. We will all be asking ourselves; do we really want to commit a Federal felony by denying that we own any military style weapons? WE can rant and rave all we want, but for most people, the answer to that will be; "Sigh, no, I guess not." Even those who have LEO-only stuff are not goiing to get off scot free - I predict that within a couple years - or sooner - as the final wave of mass confiscation rolls out, the ONLY tactical rifle any LEO (the only people who will still have them legally) will be allowed to possess will be a departmental rifle, if you have one - with strict accountability for mags, ammo, etc. and probably even new guidelines for access and storage. Think that's crazy? Look at how it's done all over the world. Some hard choices are coming, and some hard times.

Yeah... keep dreaming. You really think that anyone would allow that level of government invasion into civilians' homes? There aren't enough ATF agents to launch such a campaign. I would be surprised if it happens.

Bear in mind that the administration that you more than likely voted for allowed illegal straw purchases for firearms that fell into the hands of mexican drug cartels. Yeah, they have an amazing repertoire on which to base their views.

Neanderthals are the ones who don't take an objective, calm and rational approach to something with such gravity. You've proven that you don't do that.

Sounds like everything I said was beyond your level of insight. DREAMING?? More like DREADING. First of all, oh clueless one, I despise Barack Hussein-as-salaam-alaikum Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm!) and not only did not vote for him, but actively speak out - on these forums and others - against him. You must have missed that; I assure you that liberals on these forums did not. Second, I am a lifelong gun owner, and Life NRA member. Finally, if you had been paying attention, you would have probably figured out something else about me a long time ago, I'll leave you to ponder that over your Fruit Loops and chocolate milk this morning.

Unfortunately, I do indeed believe that a whole new world and level of government intrusiveness into our homes is headed our way. How are you and WE going to stop this? All the voting power of the NRA isn't going to mean diddly. News flash; two words: Executive Order.

What is happening right now is a massive wave of changing attitudes about guns, I can illustrate with my own family. All are lifelong hunters and all own guns. All are now saying; " there SHOULD be more restrictions, banning all semis is not a bad idea," or even; "I would be willing to register all my firearms and surrender my non-hunting firearms or "no one needs to own an AR15" From my conversations with others I know that similar conversations are happening all over the country. Change is coming; BIG changes are coming.

And all those good people who rushed out to Woodbrook Sports this week to order a couple new ARs; well, you're wasting your money - those are going to be banned, and there isn't going to be any grandfathering this time.

<quoted text>Ironic that the 2nd has nothing to do with todays gun climate, but old fat white guys keep spouting their rhetorical nonsense about their supposed right to kill innocent children. The innocent dead are on your shoulders, how does that feel, if you feel anything at all? I know your Gawd teaches to love thy neighbor but you old fat white guys ain't listenin, you want your guns cause you have no identity without one.
The guns used in the Connecticut tragedy were purchased and licensed to a female gun nut. I do not know how much she weighed.

thinking free.....follow me if you can....when a law breaking maniac starts shooting in the mall, or the school, or the workplace, whose responsibility is it to respond to the threat first? The potential victims respond FIRST when they decide to fight back, run, cower down, whatever. Who responds SECOND? You are correct..law enforcement. And what type of response do the SECOND RESPONDERS bring with them? A semi-automatic rifle with high capacity magazines and a semi-automatic pistol with high capacity magazines. So.....why shouldn't the FIRST RESPONDERS have the same tools as the SECOND RESPONDERS? They both want to accomplish the same thing.

Have you no capacity for rational, impartial thought? Are you always emotionally driven? Have you taken your meds or seen the sunlight today?
Speaking of emotion, how would you feel if one of those children were yours? thought never crossed your mind has it? Its so to think in the abstract when reality never touches you, ain't it?

It would be horrible if one were mine. I've responded to numerous shootings/stabbings/etc. It is never easy, especially when it's a child. With that in mind, I would not look to infringe upon the Bill of Rights. These crimes are committed by people who BREAK THE LAW. Those criminals should be punished harshly. How about we heavily punish criminals instead of retrict/eliminate rights? Why should a murderer like Hughly, or Walker Sisk's killer be allowed to walk out of jail in any less than 20 years? Why should the mentally ill be allowed to walk amoung us? How about you answer those questions before you go taking away rights and civil liberties.

Yes, yes, yes! Because the Controled Substance Act has stopped illegal drug traffic in the US so well and the Prohibition Act eliminated the Devil Bottle in America! Yes! Another law will completely stop gun violence!

Our staunch allies in Mexico would never consider turning an evil profit by selling illegal things across the border.
