Full story: Stamford Advocate

Even as state lawmakers create programs aimed at keeping cash-strapped residents from losing their homes during the recession, the just-approved two-year budget will cash in on a new mortgage foreclosure tax to help get Connecticut's government out of the red.

But you do agree that it is appropriate?
absolutely!!!

according to the article, buried in a bit of mash, it says that these fees will be added to the overall debt!!
ridiculous!!
ironically, if it weren't added on, then it would just become part of the banks overhead, so it would be passed on to everyday customers.

and seriously, if you get foreclosed, and lets say your debt is 250k, whats another few hundred dollars on top of that.

but yeah, get em coming and going, it's all about the almighty dollar.
(I saw on another thread, some guy was getting foreclosed on, and planned to completely trash his house before leaving it, so that the bank wouldn't make any more money off of him, I'm not sure, but it sort of felt like biting off your nose to spite your face)
