East Bethel fighting birds likely face a grim fate

First, the roosters get to roost. Then their fate will be decided. The 29 Taiwanese fighting cocks rescued from an East Bethel home Monday have a two-day vacation at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley.

They are chickens for gosh sake! Give me BREAK! Maybe some family tight on a grocery budget would love them. How about KFC or other food establishment. Have folks nothing else to be concerned with then a bunch of beat up chickens? Come on, an obvious slow news day...

Granted being gased is better then a slow torturous death, but professional deignity?

Seriously, there is concern that the birds were injected with various chemicals to enhance their performance, and thereby might not be safe to eat.
