It's not Sex, Stupid - it's Commitment

There are 10 comments on the Feb 2, 2011, www.american-reporter.com story titled It's not Sex, Stupid - it's Commitment. In it, www.american-reporter.com reports that:

Many of us grew up listening to the preamble to the radio and television show, "The Shadow." A deep voice asked a question opening the show that I'll paraphrase here: Who knows what lurks in the hearts of men? Given the fact that "The Shadow," who does know what lurks therein, is a fictional character shedding no light on anything in the real world, we will have to acknowledge that no one knows what lies in the hearts of men - men being generic for mankind.

It's that preamble to a very old radio show that prompts me now to acknowledge that I have not an inkling of why some of us might find the love our life in a person of the same gender. I may not have an inkling but I am aware that here in America, at least, we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

How can you pursue happiness yet not allow love into the pursuit?

Reminder: Queers have no interest whatever in handsome young heterosexual men or boys.
Queers are only interested in other queers, and never in straight men. Straight men have no appeal to queers.
Most queers are monogamous and if not, always have safe sex.
Queers eschew bathhouses, bookstores and Y's which, of course, along with fisting, rimming, gerbiling, daisychaining, S&M are mere urban legends.
Most queers don't engage in oral or anal sex.
Most queers just want to meet one other queer, to the exclusion of all other queers, and then, after the queer engagment, the queer wants to "marry" that particular queer and remain monogamous.
Got it?

Hi there Hoo Flung Dung!
Coprophagy is as old as the hills and usually indulged in by heterosexuals, just as anal sex is the most frequent form of heterosexual activity worldwide - as a form of birth control.
Queerboy say: Do some research before jumping into fray; you must be young kid, so ignorant about horrible hetero habits, you have poo on face. ho, ho, ho.

There is no logical argument for disenfranchising Americans in order to force the concocted, failed philosophy of homosexual marriage into law!

1. Most gay men are not interested in heterosexual men, that's true.
2. All the gay men I know are straight. Why call yourself "straight", implying we're somehow crooked or twisted? It smacks of a desperate attempt at patching up your self-esteem.
3. Most gay men are not monogamous, true enough, as no heterosexual man is either. Hogamus, higamus, men are polygamous (William James)
4. We do not eschew bathouses, nor do heterosexuals in countries where there are bathouses open to both sexes at the same time.
5. Most YMCAs are open to both sexes these days (the YWCAs usually are not). Under what rock have you been hiding?
6. I have known some heterosexuals who buy books, too - a minority, sure, but hey!
Fisting, rimming etc. first appeared in heterosexual porn films in the 1960s. They are one of the most frequent practices to be found in heterosexual dating magazine and internet sites.
So is S&M. The Marquis de Sade describes mostly heterosexual practices; and Sacher von Masoch described only heterosexual "thrills".
Don't enter into a serious discussion before informing yourself first.
What gay folk want is not "gay marriage" per se, but the same rights as are guaranteed under the American consitution to married heterosexuals.

OGL is THAT what all that tempest in a teapot was about? LOL!

Although I have to say I'd never thought about that before. These mostly male homophobes focus so much on male homosexuality they seem to forget lesbians even exist, until they go for some porn. And if (however many) male heterosexuals are aroused by watching two women have sex, then it would seem they aren't really all that offended by ALL homosexual sex are they? And how to account for that specificity? Projection of their own sexual insecurities, of course.

There is no logical connection between marriage and anything homosexual. Why no homosexual 'marriage?'
1. It is a cruel lie with no real basis in homosexual life. No significant percent of homosexuals have 'married' in any country that allows it. Why add to the disillusionment with life that so often causes suicides among homosexuals?
2. Americans overwhelmingly oppose it. A growing majority of states have gone to the extreme step of enacting constitutional amendments to prevent rogue judges from forcing it into law.
3. No homosexual relationship shares the reasons for government involvement in real marriage. In some states, government didn't even register marriage until the latter part of the 19th Century, and then it was largely because divorce rates were rising economically and legally inferior women were left with their children for the state to support. Despite the fact that much has changed for women, they still remain on average paid much less than men and still are often left with children to support when a marriage ends.
4. No homosexual relationship produced children as a natural an usual result. When children are present in a homosexual relationship they are usually the result of a prior relationship. Even real marriage would not make pre-existing children the child of a new partner. In rare cases when courts allow adoption of a child by a homosexual 'couple', that relationship is specifically dictated by the court. A court may also allow dual parenting of an inseminated child if it deems it appropriate.
5. Most adults still marry and enter into a traditional marriage relationship. US Census data confirms that few same sex adults live in any sort of domestic partnership, much less a homosexual one. Data presented by Topix confirms that most homosexual 'marriages' are not even exclusive relationship, much less like a real marriage. One of the reasons that homosexual 'marriage' has failed to attract a significant percent of the homosexual population where legal is that it is extremely unwise for a homosexual 'couple' to get entangled in a huge body of law generated for very different relationships.
6. The traditional family remains the basic building block of American Society, so government has a legitimate interest is supporting it. It has no legitimate interest in being involved in any legal homosexual relationship.
7. As demonstrated with statistics from numerous countries and un-refuted by any poster in these fora, this all has precious little to do with anyone 'marrying.' The homosexual 'marriage' movement was concocted as a way of attacking the common morals of Americans in order to force acceptance of a lifestyle choice that most find damaging and immoral. The homosexual marriage movement has in fact done the opposite, generating increased hostility toward homosexuals, as a result of anti-democratic attacks on voters rights to dictate the legal definition of marriage.
8. Radical homosexuals have no more right to undemocratically force their philosophy of homosexual 'marriage' into law that Seventh Day Adventists would have a right to have their beliefs declared our national religion.
There is no logical argument for disenfranchising Americans in order to force the concocted, failed philosophy of homosexual marriage into law!
