Please reserve your judgements until all the facts are known. I personally know this family and this is a tragic unthinkable event. Please, please use your energy in prayers for this beautiful child.

Thank you jpierre and ppark. This large and close family is suffering greatly. I am haunting this post because it is all I can do until we hear more. I beg you, say a prayer for this precious baby.

How heartbreaking. My thoughts are with this family, and I hope the boy comes through.

You people are so cruel. That's why there should be a safety fence, stop a tragedy before it happens. Common Sense is not common.

How many times does this have to happen? Come on Parents....Wake up and learn from the mistakes of others who have lost their children! Gates, locks, pool guards. Dont think it will never happen to you!

Thank you to those of you focusing on the issue at hand... this childs fight for life... from the two of us on this board who know this child. If there is fault or negligence it can be addressed in the coming days. Right now we wait to hear his fate gripped in sorrow and fear.

The issue at hand? If safety rules were followed, you would not be asking for prayers.

If the deity we should pray to did not save the baby from falling in the pool, why should we expect it do even more now?

For all you so quick to judge... in this family safety IS normally followed. Just this once for a few moments the caregiver was distracted and neglected to secure the pool. It was all it took. Shame on you who so quickly comdemn. Surely YOU have never made any mistakes. For you who are praying... the child is improving and there is hope of a total recovery.

I would like to thank everybody for praying for this beautiful child. He is doing better, no one gave this child enough credit. As for the St. Pete times, they need to get there story straight. There was no siblings in the pool with the child. He is an only child. And people need to be to quick to judge others when you don't even know what happened.

How about you all pray that God does not let another baby fall into a pool! Afterall, if he has the power to lift the fallen child/family then he has the power to stop babies from falling in pools. So weak.
