In Europe, there is a nonprofit corporation that will recycle these parts and donate any profit made to nonprofit organizations. They're operating in at least 7 European countries and have donated over $70,000 in 7 years to worthy groups. They've started a pilot project in California. Too bad they aren't doing this in FL yet.

My wife has a pin in her leg. Do I want it in the ashes if she goes first - not really. Is there any good reason to put it in a vault with metal from 2000+ other people and keep it under perpetual care - no way. Perpetual care for a pile of metal is silly silly silly. Recycle the metal. We can choose to reuse her organs through donation - why not the metal placed in her body?

Why are the surgical titanium parts not returned to the family? The family should be asked if they would want them to be disposed. They have been paid for and belong to the decedent. It is theft if they don't. My daughter's were not and often wonder what was up with that, just guess I will have to find out.

Recycle this metal. These parts don't contain the soul! Ray Rusinko is my former ganja source and the employee allegedly fired for talking to the press. He has claimed he wasn't fired for using drugs...yuh!!
