The cobb factory had to have been the worst hunted house i have ever been too in my life. I had to wait in line for an hour an a half for ten minutes of just walking threw an old factory in the dark. i thought that there would be people jumping out to scare us but only three people did threw out the whole thing. so wish everyone could know how much it sucks an not to waste 17 dollars on it, and hopefully it does not come back next year.

There are between 15 and 25 actors each night. I heard they give the people inside a break or 2 a night. That may explain the wait time and the few people. This is worth the money and the trip.

If you really though this was a good haunted house you obviously have never been to a decent one. The Darkness or Creepyworld are far, far beyond in both quality and scariness.

There is no plot to this haunted house. Black walls with strobe lights and a few random actors running around with power tools.
This was a complete ripoff and waste of time. St. Louis has so much better to offer than this little money making scam. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

So, before I try to go on Halloween how many people recommend going here and how many say its a scam and not to go?

The Darkness is a good one, if you want to drive that far. The Cobb Factory is good, not the greatest of all time, but worth it. I enjoyed the Darkness but didnt enjoy driving from St. Peters all the way to Soulard.

The wait was long because it was a good haunted house. I was an actor there and can say we worked extremely hard to ensure all customers had a great time. I was hearing screams from people througout the entire night at the front and the back of the haunted house. We also received many compliments from customers that it was scary.

I hope it doesn't open again after the terrible accident. They should have never had a gun at this place. I hope the kid and his family sue and end up owning this place. Wise up people...guns and crowds don't mix.

It was not a loaded gun. The kid got hurt from the muzzle blast from plain black powder. Shesh, everytime an accident happens somewhere do you hope the business shuts down? Six Flags, Hidden Valley, Disney World, etc...accidents happen and to wish that someone losses their busniess is dumb. Also, he was an adult and not a kid.

With all the people out or work and this lady wants someone to have to shut down a business. Thats why people have insurance. I hope one of your kids has a friend over and they fall over something in your backyard and they sue you. People are re-tard-ed.

Get the Facts is right it was an adult that it happened too. Also he's right again it was an accident. The actor was pushed and he fell off a cement block. His finger got jammed in their. I know the actor very well and I know he regrets it happening and was very worried about the customer. Also A MOM as a actor at Cobb Factory I have one thing to say Get YOUR FACTS CORRECT please what you said is how rumors start and it was on the news on November 1st and they reported that it was an accident.

The facts...the muzzle loaded shot gun was filled with 45 grains of gun powder and packing. This is over kill. You can kill a deer with 50 grains at over 100 yards. The ADULT may loose his arm. He may never be able to use the arm if they can save it. For the news to report that he will make a full recovery...yeah...I don't think maiming someone is a full recovery. Why all the false reports of a handgun and blank? Trying to cover up something?

Also, an accident with a gun is totally different. It is ridiculus to have a loaded gun that close to that many people. They are just lucky it didn't kill the person or injure anymore. A gun of that size and power could have easily done a lot more damage. I've been to lots of haunted houses all over the country and I've never seen a loaded gun at any of them. We are talking about a seasonal business, too, so it's not like I'm suggesting shutting down a multi million dollar business that employees hundreds of American families. I seriously doubt that the insurance carried on this place will ever be able to cover the loss this MAN is facing. Several surgeries and I'm sure more to come, therapy, and loss of wages for no one knows how long. Not to mention the mental trauma the MAN and his family is going thru. I'm sorry for the actor that it happened to. I know it's something he has to live with. His employer should have thougth twice about that gun!

There was NO packing in it. Please stop talking about something your not sure about. Grains of powder can not kill ANYTHING at 100 yards - its the bullet that does that. There were no false reports from people there and the police. Only people like you who hear rumors and misinformation. No one ever stated a handgun or bullet. The misinformation began when someone in the crowd told a 911 operator that there had been a shooting. So everyone of course thought someone had brought a handgun on their person. I have spoken to both of the cops that were on scene (one was there when it happened) and I know one of the EMS guys that treated the guy.

You are acting like his arm was blown off. He is not even close to losing his arm. Only one surgery. So again, stop acting like you have a clue to what your talking about.

You are so wrong. I know the guy and yes his arm was almost blown off. They are still not sure if they can save it and he's had at least 6 surgeries. I've even been the the hospital that the person is in and is still in! Look at 's write up and it does state a handgun. And yes, there was packing in the muzzel. And Lincoln County Sheriff's did say they have had different stories and they have changed. So YOU get your facts right.
Thats odd

Since I just saw the first officer on scene last night and talked to the EMS crew that worked on him. Seems like you full of it. Arm blown off, your retarded. Odd that in your first post you made no reference of knowing anyone, but now you stay at the hospital with the guy, lol. If you knew that, you would know even the guy who was hurt knew it was a black powder rifle. He was telling the police officer what happened while he was in the ambulance. So try again. The EMS guy laughed when I asked about him losing his arm. It wasnt even bad enough for them to fly him from the scene.
