Say the game against Hannibal with Troy!! Bottom line - Troy has GREAT PLAYERS- Kyle Peasel,Tyler Hatcher,Robby Dirigo,Jake Dirigo,Daniel Lindeman,Corey Barnhill, Great Lineman, but they have a head coach that cant call plays, soon as something works you can bet he will put a stop to it! Running Daniel Lindeman, over, and over and over is just foolish no wander they were able to stop them when you only run one guy repeatedly, theres other running backs that are really good, their's plenty of good receivers, but coach didn't use the talent he had, which is why Troy isn't winning games, and thats why as long as Purdum stays Troys head coach, my son will NEVER play football there!

Troy had a great first half. the coach called good plays, mixed it up real well. That said the at the half Holt made the adjustments needed, like making sure Hatcher was covered through out his route. After the first int. on a long pass, and with the short passes working lets stay with them. Purdom did a great job of keeping fresh players on D. I dont know what the last played called was but apparently robby did not agree with it and was mad after it didn't work. maybe he should run the play called by the coach, even if he don't agree, and discuss it and the results later with the coaches. Robby is also one of the team captains but at the end of the game acted like a 2 YEAR OLD BABY.Did not want to shake hands with the other team. I think that he should be removed as a Captain, and let a real team leader be a captain, one that won't act like Robby did at the end of the game. There are many guys that would be ready to step up and take the spot.

GOOD COACH?? A Good Coach would of called good plays the whole game! Not just the 1st half. I agree Dirigo was out of line, theres no excuse for his actions, but I think we have all been there when we just feel "Fed Up" and after 4 years of coach Purdums losing record,I guess it got the best of him. We all mistakes, I think taking away captain is a little harsh, besides a sign of a GOOD leader or captain is apologizing when you mess up, which I heard he did, besides its obvious Troy needs him, but I agree again his behavior was uncalled for, rather he agreed with the play or not he should of listened to his coach. As far as the good coaching? I have to ask? It was a good 1st half, but how many times are you gonna run Lindeman? Does coach have no faith in the rest of his team? Theres much more talent on that team than Lindeman, and Coach P. is just wasting it's talent! It doesn't take the oppossing team long to realize coach P. is handing it to Lindeman yet once again! and the boys hurt, I'm surprised his parent let him take such a beating over and over again. If coach mixed it up a little Lindeman prob. get more yards than what he has been getting because the other team might think coach was actually going to give it to someone else!! He always runs the ball on 3rd down rather it be 1 yard or 20, and it will always be Lindeman. To have all that talent on one team and waste it is ridiculous, and shows who really needs to be removed, and I'm sure there are many men as well who would be ready to step up and take the spot of Head Coach! Purdum has been there 4 years now and the only thing he has been consistant with is LOSING!

I was at this game, & thought it was an exciting game, I think Wentzville did a terrific job coming back to defeat Troy. I like Troy's receiver Tyler Hatcher, he has Great hands and will give everything he has to make the catch, IDK know why they don't use #3 more Piesal?? He has great hands too and he's so tall, and seems to run people over, I wouldn't always give it to #21 Daniel all the time,I'm a girl and new every running play was going to him, Cory Barnhill is good running back I've seen him play, he doesn't juke like Daniel, but he's strong and can run them over, I think they should be using him alot more, and he's HEALTHY!! I love football and may not understand everything about it, but I can tell Troy has come a long way and if they would of cont. to play like they did the 1st half they would of won that game! Makes you wander what the coaches said to them in the locker room at half time? LOL! We'll either way it's the first time in a long time I enjoyed watching Troy football, and I hope they continue to play as well as they did that 1st half at Lindenwood. GO TROJANS!!!!!!!

I think this Fridays game will show that this team has what it takes to start winning, as long as they play the right people. They have talent, and I think they just need to adjust to it. This team has a great connection and just needs to give it all they got ALL 4 quarters. P.S. Give that line some credit too!!!!

Good job boy's, just remember that team didn't have much to bring to the game, and the next few games are some of our easier games, so use those easy teams to practice up for the hard ones! GOOD LUCK!

What's the deal with Robbie Dirigo not getting any playing time? I understand why they are sticking with Branham as quarterback, but Dirigo is a great athlete and could be used elsewhere on the field, especially defensively. Give the kid a break.
On a different note, congratulations boys on your 4th straight win.

Good Game boys, I totally agree on the "Dirigo" issue, I think Robby has played awesome for Troy since he started high school football, but every sinced he p.o. the coach at that Lindenwood game, he hasn't been seeing any playing time on Varsity, how long is coach gonna punish the kid,(key word "KID")especially as far as I know, there hasn't been any other problems with him in the past 3 years of him playing high school ball. If you look at these last teams records that we won against they were a given, there was no reason we shouldnt of beat them, wait until the last three games of the season where "The Big Boys come to play" The teams that have actually won other games. Keep practicing hard boys, stand behind your team mates the ones you believe in, and I hope coach starts playing all the right players so we can win State this year!

I HATE TO TELL YOU BUT DANIEL LINDEMANN IS VERY HEALTHY!!!! DANIEL IS AN AWSOME PLAYER WHO WANTS TO TAKE HIS FOOTBALL ALLOT FARTHER THAN JUST SCHOOL. YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT HIM AND "HIS HEALTH" HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT AND MAYBE BEFORE RUNNING YOUR MOUTH YOU SHOULD NO ALL THE FACTS ABOUT #21 LINDEMANN.

I agree Lindeman is an awesome player and I don't think anyone was slamming him. What they said was, don't run him all the time. For example, when you have a 3rd down and short situation, why not put in the stronger Barnhill.
It is my understanding that Lindeman has had health issues with his rotator cuff, or something to that nature, and could even need surgery in the future. As far as any other health issues, I'm not sure.
I also think several of the boys on this team want to take their football further than high school as well. Lindeman has had some great games, but you have to keep in mind the competition. I'm afraid that when we play teams that have a better than average defense, he is going to have a more difficult time in being successful.
This team has a great deal to celebrate. They act like a team and play like a team. The TEAM attitude is what is winning games. Keep it up, boys!

I agree with Spencer, no one is downing Lindeman he is a great running back, but at times we need a strong running back that can go up the middle, and that maybe a call for Barnhill. I think there are alot of talented kids on that team, Peasel is a great athlete but you hardly here of him any more with Lindemann always running the ball, is it a football "team" or football "Lindeman" I think maybe this coach is playing Lindeman so much because it will get him noticed. Like Spencer said their are plenty of other boys who would like to play at the next level besides Lindeman, but that doesn't mean were against him, it just means remember theres other players on the team who have dreams of college ball too, and Coach is doing "THEM" a dis-service by not giving them their chance to shine too!
