I completely agree with Darwin, crime has always been in St. Peters! The city and the police dept. don't want you to know just how much crime there really is, same goes for O'fallon.

that's why they had to expand their jail house...yeah right! ST.Peters and O'fallon were like the town of Mayberry before all the N.County whites ran from NOCO like a plague hit.... It's so bad there now even the blacks are following the herd! That's why crime has increased, the dreaded Negro has arrived!

Gator, I wasn't talking about 50 years ago, I am talking about like 20 years ago thru present times that the crime has steadily increased. The point was that St. Peters, O'fallon etc don't want their residents to know how much crime there really is. It was like Mayberry until around the early 80's when all the development started and people started fleeing no. county.

No , The housing boom did not hit O'fallon and St.Peters until the early 90's , I should know I was there. When I moved from N.county back in 90 O'fallon was all two lane black top roads. Bryan road did not extend all the way to hwy 70 yet, Lake St.Louis was still hoity toity and the cops only had a gun with one bullet...they had to share. Those were the days! A White Man's Paradise! Then the dreaded spearchuckers migrated across the river with whitey! Now it is what is ! Funny thing is when I was a kid all of N.County was a nice suburban area Jamestown Mall was new and thriving! Then the Mud People came....

O'Fallon not keeping residents in the dark
Clamity not true for O'Fallon. The police Dept subscribes to "CRIME REPORTS". Anyone can go online and see every single dispatch made in the city of O'Fallon. Everything form rape to Gas drive offs.

That's funny... people from this area comment on news sites all day long about how crime never happenes here and only scums commit these crimes out of being lazy and not wanting to work for things in life... Whow would've thought that scum is what also lives amongst the residents of St. Peters. Hmmmm, that oughta teach the idiots to lock their valuables no matter where you live.
No sensible person would claim that NO crime happens in this area. The great thing about St. Peters is that two men, who were arrested, taking items from unlocked cars is considered news. When I lived in the city, cars were stolen on my street every day. It never made the news, police never looked into it, and the perpetrators were never apprehended. The fact that this particular story is newsworthy speaks to how low crime is in the St. Peters area.
