They said last year the catch and release rule would be lifted in the fall, that never happened, then they said it would be lifted this spring, that never happened, then this week they said next year sometime. Yet this place still charges you to catch a release fish and charges to put your boat in. The conservation stocks this lake for the city, the fish that are stocked are already decent sizes, they are the same fish that get stocked every month into Busch Wildlife lakes, yet Lakeside wants people to pay to catch and release. Sounds like someone wants to fill their pockets off this more than have a nice place for the residents to fish. The workers at the park have no clue of what is going on either! Does the city not tell them what is going on out there? This place is a joke!!!

That lake is a mud hole and I was stunned to see they were actually charging people to fish in it. They should be PAYING people to get the carp and gar out for them. I had my boat out there last year and don't have plans to return. Such a shame since its so close to home.

It really sounds like everyone needs to speak up and get the city to be realistic about that lake and ditch the charges for fishing unless the lakes conditions improve. As far as stocking the lakes, everyone i know that has fished there has caught nothing but gar. Gotta love a city run park, all the money goes into the pockets and not the property as usual. The people in charge out there know nothing at all about the lake, i get told different stories each time i ask them something about the place.

Who is really in charge of the lake? I know St. Peters runs it but are they setting the regulations? I agree that we need to speak up and I will be happy to if I know who to contact.

Its probably flooded out right now. But most likely just like everyone else has said, full of gar and carp. Shallow mud flat lake. I cant believe they charge folks to catch and release in that turd pond. The tax payers paid for it in the first place, then they want to charge the tax payers to fish in their own lake! What a damn joke! The conservation stocks it for them! Pure profit for the money grabbers!

This is why America is so great... Choices. You can choose to NOT go there. How do you like the asphalt driveway and parking lot? What about those free restrooms? Or another beautiful park? So sorry you can't go get free food there - maybe try the local food bank.

Fishy, this isn't about free food, it's about being able to enjoy something that we paid for...the way it was promised to be. The lake could be really nice, but the city has royally screwed the pooch here. If I have to pay to fish somewhere, then it should at least be decent fishing. This place is walking/biking distance from my house, it would be great to take my son there, but it doesn't begin to be worth it the way it is currently ran.

I've been fishing there for the past year now and have been catching fish every time I go. It's free to fish if your a St.Peters resident and 2.00$ for a non resident, they don't make you pay to fish so get the facts straight and quit bitching like little girls. Dose your angling suck that bad that you can't even catch a bluegill so you get on the internet and say the place sucks? Come out to that mud hole with me and I'll let you kiss my big bASS!

The rangers are a joke for sure. No one has a clue whats going on durring events like celebrate St. Peter's no much really to celebrate honestly. I would say go a half mile down the highway to fountain lakes and fish for free and it's more natural setting not a concrete park with a over flow next to it. The rangers are a bunch of dork tards I laugh at them every time they come by to their face. Absolutely a disappointment. Oh yea love long and prosper Alex jones for president NOT

First, Lakeside 370 is managed not by the Missouri Conservation Commission, but by St. Peters City administration. Their rules.

The Conservation Commission told me that they have not tested the
lake water.

Back when they sunk all the taxpayers money into a TIF to construct the
lake, it was said to me that truckloads of fill dirt used were contaminated
with heavy metals.

If the City employees won't let you catch and keep the fish, you ought
to be thankful.

Back in the days this area was the dump ground for some pretty ? stuff . Sure is amazing how all the hype & money over the last 20 years or so has been used to promote this whole wast of tax payers money . This is as bad as the Boys & Girls Club site , Wentzville & O' fallon Bobs Home Service site , the Dump site out on 94 s in Weldon Springs & a host of others in good old St Charles the dump site of the 40's & 50's ? Sure makes one wonder ?

Do you know where it was trucked in from? I have found and indian ax head, and an arrow head, mixed in with what looked to be an old asphalt parking lot in chunks.

We went to Lake side 370 last weekend to boat around and all the fish seem to be floating on top of the water near the boat dock and launch area. I think the shallow lake got too hot for the fish. Looked mostly like Carp and Gar to me. I would neither fish there or pay to fish. Place really stinks. Not a good place and no shade. If there were fish to catch and keep I still would not want to pay to fish there. Busch Wildlife and other Local lakes are full of fish to catch and release for fun and for free. Plus most of them are established and have shaded areas to fish. I was really looking forward to this lake being a nice place like Creve Coeur Lake only with fishing. Nothing nearly as nice and won't be for years. They need a paved trail all the way around the lake where you can walk or skate near the lake for one thing with some trees here and there throughout for shade. But it is set up like a sewer pond where there is a gravel road on the back side with no actual trail near the lake. Not a nice place and I agree so far a joke and a waste of tax payers money. On top of being charged to use. Not my place to visit. Would not recommend. I really wonder if anyone ever reads this that matters. If so let us know.
